A couple of mine enjoying the seasonal weather...
...as I needed the garage space to sort an oil leak on the other half's daily...
As for Webers on Spitfires - I've tried all sorts of carb's and my Hurricane sometimes runs twin 40s, but for everyday use and unless you plan on exceeding about six grand on a regular basis and running a wild cam' a properly set up pair of SUs is about as good as it gets. A decent set, complete with air box and manifold should be cheap enough from eBay or Spitfire Graveyard etc.

The car was originally built by Doug, but the engine is all developed by Damico race engines an myself. the suspension is modified from Dougs as well.
Current 285hp (real hp) not rr)
Sounds impressive - hope to see it (and hear it) on the track next year if you're competing in it.The car was originally built by Doug, but the engine is all developed by Damico race engines an myself. the suspension is modified from Dougs as well.

I spotted a silver road-going example of Doug's recently at a local classic car show in Derbyshire. It looked great but I prefer them in BRG.
Here's a digital portrait I created of your car last night when testing some new software:

yeah, i'm 18 at the moment, and i have been slowly learning, getting good experience driving/repairing for about 6 months now. lots of fun.... but the weber needs a rebuild at the moment and that's a job i'm to afraid to tackle.
There are a few youngsters running around in some rather nice older cars, there is an entire forum of them here -( http://younggunsclassics.forumcircle.com/portal.ph...)
I'm 23 and have owned my '67 Landie for 2 years and my '68 Amazon for 18month so far. There is just something else about older cars
Yorkebar, are you a member of either of the Triumph Clubs? (CT or TSSC)? Well worth going to a local meet or two, good talk and lots of useful advice!

Here here. My youngest daughter is 17 and plans to get a Spit once she has some experience under her belt. Relatively cheap to insure too, so I obviously got that part of her upbringing right.

I spotted you'd suddenly reappeared! Pics of two of my favourite cars on local roads.
This is my latest acquisition, a 1987 Citroen Visa GTI. Its on my fave road, the B4560.
And this is one of my other cars and definitely one of my favourites, my Citroen BX 16V. Taken several weeks ago on the A4069.
