I hope it’s not like that anywhere else.
No it's the "conversion" to GTA type door push buttons (horrendously expensive little bits of chrome) and the original door skin has to be filled in. Unfortunately someone did a poor job on the drivers side door. It's now perfect thankfully. The original recessed handles are quite large and clunky. NomduJour said:
Interesting. Do you have a link for this?I can find this:

But it is subtly different saying the number plates don’t roll on 40 years only the VED exemption.

The blog is well-known for saying things that aren't necessarily true. I seem to recall that was where someone wrote that if you fail an MOT test you can't drive your car on the road, even if the previous test still has some time to run.Anyway, go to this page ( https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/rules-... ) , scroll down a bit, open the link to leaflet INF104 ( https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/governmen... ) and it's on Page 11.

Many thanks. I think the link I found was older. I hope this one is correct and true. I have some black & silver plates for my Triumph. I used to put them on when displaying at shows as they matched the colour scheme. But didn't run them on the road.Anyway, go to this page ( https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/rules-... ) , scroll down a bit, open the link to leaflet INF104 ( https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/governmen... ) and it's on Page 11.
The document says:
• have applied to DVLA
• be registered within the ‘historic vehicles’ tax class.
I wonder if there is a separate application to run the plates or if having historic status is 'the' application?

Finally got around to getting the terrible door lock conversion sorted on my GT junior. Filled with metal instead of filler and a door respray.
Very pleased with result.

Lovely, always fancied one of these. A friend has recently just picked one up but with the other front end on it, stunning cars. I find the driving position very strange though, kind of feel like a contortionist
Typically Italian lol. I've fitted better bucket seats and am at least held in place!300bhp/ton said:

My March 1974 MGB just passed it's MOT Yesterday with black and silver plates, without any comment from the tester.I can find this:

I got them after reading the original content (and they suit the car better).
