WHY DID JEREMY CLARKSON PUNCH PIERS MORGAN?

Is that like: "Why did the chicken cross the road?"

ah, here we go ... from wiokipedia:
At the British Press Awards in March 2004, he was punched by TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson after the Mirror had published compromising photos of Clarkson.

He also threw a glass of champagne over him on Concorde's final flight.
He classed this as 'making his own entertainment'

Basically, Morgan published a story about Clarkson having an affair, even though Jeremy had asked him not to (and given a medical reason why it wasnt possible)...

Morgan still published it...

Its in Morgans Biography

...and very funny it was too.
Say what you like about the bloke (and I'm sure many of you will), but he does write entertaining memoirs.

Clarkson may write well (read controversially) but not exactly an oil painting, is he?

So, what pictures of the bejowelled poodletop icon AREN'T compromising?

On winning the Press Award for motoring journalism this year, The Times reported it as... "(Clarkson) accepted the award with characteristic restraint and with a few carefully chosen words directed at Piers Morgan, the former Daily Mirror editor with whom he was caught up in a scuffle at the ceremony last year."

In the real world he got up and accepted the award with "Piers Morgan is an arsehole" and left the stage.

Quite frankly, my bumhole is offended by that remark. But I agree, he does make up some entertaining memoirs

Morgan (or his paparazzo) caught Clarkson kissing a woman who was not Clarkson's wife. Morgan called him and said he was publishing the story and did Clarkson want to comment. According to Morgan, Clarkson denied it then said the woman was merely friend, pleading with Morgan not to print the story. As far as I understand it, Clarkson said he was not capable of being unfaithful to his wife. It was not in his nature. (Nothing about a physical infirmity as suggested on this thread.) Morgan felt moved by Clarkson's overtures and spiked the story. A year later Morgan (or his paparazzo) caught Clarkson at it again with the same woman and duly published the story. Next meeting Clarkson punched Morgan. He was lucky not to be arrested. Joe Schmo would have been.

The rumour I heard was that Moron too was fairly blatantly having an affair whilst this was going on - thus obviously p'ing off Clarkson even more.
