£6 grand a year, or £9 grand in first class with a bacon sandwich every morning.

You'd save at least £1-200k on house prices.

Sounds good in theory, but £9k a year is enough to service something like £140k of mortgage over 25 years, so it's arguably quite a steep price to pay for having to live in Coventry!

True, I don't think it'd work for everyone, but if you're paying a million quid for a flat in London then you should really be buying a mansion with acres of land in Warwickshire...

Holy Thread Resurrection Batman!

Anyone know what Crowborough is like? In terms of somewhere to live, trains, parking, etc
