I think with a camper van you'd not need a hotel...
no way to 'prove' a booking then?TheDriverCom said:

no way to 'prove' a booking then?Quickly transiting through France to Italy, perhaps with an order number from the client with a fixed destination in Italy stacks up when seeking exclusion from passing over borders for business purposes and avoiding the 14-day quarantine period.

We have a table at our favourite restaurant tonight. Already enjoyed a coffee in the square.
Effectively, life is back to normal
Our only worry is that the country seems to be divided in two. Those of us over-60, who wear masks and take extra care with distancing. And everyone else who, seemingly, do not give a damn.

We were sold a pup or we are going to pay for the relaxed approach taken by many.
getting reports from friends / family as well regarding this, all saying the same...'what virus?'We were sold a pup or we are going to pay for the relaxed approach taken by many.
i finally got round to emailing DFDS re the balls up on return albeit 3 weeks after returning...
12 days later - gotta love French customer services - i get this back..
Good morning,
Reservation 19519549.
I am really sorry for the crossing you booked on 3rd May. This crossing was cancelled and you should have received a texto or an email to advise you. We sent these textos and email few days before.
However as a commercial gesture i do the refund for this crossing. (£79.50). That will take 7 to 10 days to get the money back.
For the other references we can propose you to cancel these tickets and turn into 2 credit notes (14634524 £51+ 16082142 £79) valid up to 31dt march 2021 and with date of travel up to 30th june 2021.
Otherwise we can change dates of travel if you contact us at least 24hrs before departure.
I was right in my initial assumption and i definitely didn't get any text or email.....at least i have the initial money returned if nothing else
