I too replied on Facialbakkue and am doubling down here.

Depending on timings, it would be nice to include it in the FTT to Monaco and Spa.
Would put many people off as it would mean taking near 2 weeks holiday unless you’re near channel ports.

Prefer to be thee or four weeks clear of Spa Classic LM or Monaco Classic. Only my preference of course.

Sold out pretty quickly in 2018 with a reserve list so very clearly not an issue.

Given the number of TVRs on the trip being in the general locality of Zolder it would be sensible for any party trying to organise a 'closed group' event to consider when their target audience is in the area.

I presume you mean one of the Spa weekends then yes you're correct. Spa and Zolder can be done in the same weekend, though not without detracting from both.

I was thinking more along the lines of clashing with Classic Le Mans and Monaco Classic.

Not posted on PH for many years but this has given me an excuse. If this goes ahead then I am coming along.
Never seen bad driving at the ones I have been to before and the marshals are fine.
I went before with the LS7 and got through the noise issues but broke the sound limit on my last lap of the day strangely.
Much louder car now but I will take it easy again until the last lap again.

The FTT last year ran down to the Monaco Classic GP then back up to the Spa Classic the following weekend. Was hugely popular and sold out and had a reserve list. Whilst not everyone did the whole two events some left after the MCGP and others joined for the SC.

Dates appear to be similarly arranged for 2020 - MCGP weekend, followed by SC the following weekend. I am sure the FTT will sell out just as well again.

I know, I was on the tour. I’m sure the FTT 2020 to MCGP and Spa will sell out, and I’m just as sure you’ve missed my point.

Not to worry..

Yep, you're right, I shouldn't waste me time. rolleyes

Can you explain why you thought my comment/preference about not combining the event was pointless?

Executive summary;

Two weeks ago I say on Facebook 'worth considering timings of the FTT as there will be a lot of TVR drivers at the Spa Classic'.

Two days ago you say 'little interest in a two week tour. Other events should be avoided'.

I reply 'plenty of interest FTT sold out. Seems odd to ignore a large group of TVRs already in the area.'

You reply 'I know I did the FTT. They should combine it with the Spa Classic.'

I reply 'that's exactly what I suggested two weeks ago'

You reply 'right. I'm clearly bringing nothing new to the table so I'll stop acting out of hubris and not mention it again.'

I’ll stay on the post thanks. If you’re going to quote or summarise please do so accurately.

Be an interesting topic to discuss at Zolder, I wonder how different the tone would be and how much hubris would be in evidence..

I had a row on line with someone once.

I wrote ‘that’s fighting talk where I come from’

Then I met him face to face he said, “ why aren’t you fighting”

I said “ well I’ve moved now” wink

To curb my aggression I started doing that cage fighting.

Had my first fight last Friday.

Happy to discuss in person. You're the one being aggressive.

I haven't told you to stay or go but hey, you've not read anything else I put properly so far so why start now.

Stewart,
A few things.
First and very important, I don’t do aggressive.
Second, this exchange is probably not doing anything to promote the weekend.

Clearly we’ve pissed each other off, but I suspect in a real world discussion that wouldn’t have happened.

Why don’t I email you tomorrow with my phone number so we can speak and properly understand each other’s views yes

He guys
Let s stop this argument and talk about bringing this utterly wonderful event back!

I hear they are busy to get a good slot to have a good combo with Spa.

(I can confirm that tvrm doesn t do agressive, the man doesn t know what it is tongue out.
Mk1fan I hope you are able to come to this brilliant event cool.
Hope to see you both there and to drink a beer or two with you guys.)
