S3C, 2.9: occasionally, after higher speeds it only goes down to about 2 to 2.5k tickover and no less even when I blip the throttle.

Only rectified if I switch the engine off and on again. So seems electrical, especially as it is intermittent .

What do you think guys?

I would check for air leaks in the inlet side - plenum, inlet manifold, vacuum hoses.

Would that still apply for a cat car without the airflow Meters?
