Luggage Rack experience

Hi, I've been thinking about getting a luggage rack for my elise to enable more of a getaway than a weekend. Does anyone have any experience with these? There appear to be a few options, all rather pricey! cheers Paul

I think they look rather ugly, and as you say are rather pricey. I think I remember someone posting on another bbs that they had got a bike rack from halfords, and with some clever bungy cord business had made an adequate luggage rack for about 25 quid. I managed to stuff a whole months worth of stuff in my Elise by removing the passenger footrest, and not using holdalls in the boot. Jim

Johnathon, Can only find one reference to luggage, and that's not rack related. I'm correct in thinking that the moto build one does not need brackets fitting, it suckers on. cheers Edited by pbutterworth on Wednesday 25th April 15:26
