Love the OZ/Compomotive TH style wheels on it, reminds of the Elise prototype too from the 'Inside Story' documentary.

The Renault engine is interesting.
it is indeed, maybe also a R26 Renault engine fits 300hp hehe

but other then that, its an interesting car for a collector, also low mileage and very Unique a piece of history if you are a real Lotus nut/fan.

Only damage was to the grass and sign I hope?

I think we spoke briefly at the Renegade Brewery Cars & Coffee a few months ago.

Fair play
Goodwood is far to scary for December

I live just 20 mins from Goodwood and used to drive it but in recent years it's become very expensive. Last time I checked it was £400+ and all you got is 6 x 15 minute sessions. No open pit lane. Club track days might

It cheaper and more fun to pay £200 elsewhere and have a couple of nights in a hotel with the change!

I painted a couple of my past Lotuses this year, will do the others in 2025 - been meaning to for a while…

Some mayb remember this one, out with the 1.8 K series and in with an R32 engine.

Yeah, I'm still mentally scarred from the R32 one. Your other post from Bala lake reminded me of this trip.

Have done several day (or 2 day) trips to Wales over the years in various cars specifically for the drive. From Kent it's a bit of a schlep but always worthwhile.

Will get around to painting my old blue 160 this year. It's been on my to-do list since 2019 but even though I paint daily they take a fair time and it's been quite far down the list, it's getting near the top though yes

111S, day two of my ownership and it's the perfect antidote to my Tesla.

First proper drive out of the year today!

Forgot how good they are!

Hopefully taking early retirement in the next 12 months so I have been driving a few cars over that time as I will be selling the 111S in the summer.

But nothing comes close to that steering feel and overall grin inducing fun!

That is such a great colour. Bet you're glad you didn't sell it now?

That's my local C&M. Was there anyone else there? I'm thinking of popping over tomorrow. I went once before in the winter and it was dead, so I didn't even get out.

Yeah it's such a special car and absolutely love it.

Still needs to go this year at some point but in the meantime days like today are just fantastic!

Not really busy but there was an Evora 410, a TVR Chimaera and a couple of MX5's today amongst the "normal" cars.

Looks much like mine - a shame you're selling it.

Mine is up in the air at the moment having the suspension refurbished and new GAZ coilovers. The garage are a couple of months behind schedule - their racing commitments keep getting in the way.

Will be worth when you get it all back together though.

I'm planning some euro road trips with the missus over the next couple of years so looking for a more suitable car for that so Elise will have to go.

Alfa 4C is the top of my list at the moment.

That's fair, I love a good drive around the alps. I used to do Europe in a Caterham when I was a young man - but I wouldn't take my Elise there now. It would be great once there, but - oooft - that'd be a long drive.
