Hi All,

Went to see an early-ish Evora today (2011). Lovely car, fab drive - I was smitten. However, the panel gaps seemed a little inconsistent on the rear bumper panel compared to the rest of the car. I'd estimate that most panel gaps were consistently 4mm - around the doors - front clam - front bumper etc. The rear bumper seemed to be 4mm wide gap at the back but this closed up as the panel wrapped around the hind quarters and almost touched the panel above by the time it reached the rear edge of the doors.

Is this kind of inconsistency normal or should I be wary? As an owner of a 28 year old TVR I'm aware that glass fibre cars can have panel gaps that don't match their steel cousins, but I'm also aware that the GF technology on the Evora is more advanced than on my TVR so don't know what to expect.

Thanks in advance.

It's handbuilt to a degree so every one is different. If it bugs you that much you could always remove and refit to your exact requirement.

Mine seems similar to what you have stated from the rear of the wheel arch to the lights.
