Adrian flux came out cheapest for me

ETA - did try a few others but owing to my age (27), lack of previous Lotus ownership, points (6) and accident history (a lot) some wouldn't touch me....

Matt @ http://www.hendersontaylor.co.uk/ is cheap, used by many on SELOC.

Otherwise, I'm now with A-Plan. More expensive but can do business cover.

Im with Henderson Taylor for my Exige 350 Sport, largely because it includes track days if you tell them in advance. 6 or 7 a year, can't remember exactly.

Wow leggy Aviva £1800 fully comp for an Exige V6
managed to get it down to £251 fully comp with Hastings Direct so that's the way forward but I just can't get over the difference in prices, the in between price was £326 with Performance Direct, I was blown away with Aviva though obviously not interested in insuring Lotus.

Henderson Taylor a complete waste of time had the answer machine from 09.15 am until now 14.30 left 3 messages to call back no call back yet, god only knows how you contact them in the case of an accident.

There’s no consistency with these insurers. Mine with Aviva is about £400. Was the best price this year. Will shop around next time.

Maybe Elises and Exiges are very different but I'm always surprised by how close the different prices quoted by different companies are. I don't remember the details, but I had about 10 companies quote within £20 of each other last time I reinsured.

What I don't really understand is the Ultima Sports 6.2 Chevy approx 500bhp same value as the Exige is only £210 fully comp protected ncb and 3000 miles still cant get over Aviva at £1800

Did you get sorted?

Give Manning a try. Ask for Michael Briggs, very helpful guy.
You need to be a good prospect for them but they have great prices and proper polices.
Unlimited UK track day cover too. No pissing about phoning for permission in advance or worrying when you rock up on a Saturday afternoon and blag on for a few laps.

Henderson Taylor's office has been shut since the 2nd. Back on the 17th.

One of the potential pitfalls of a one-man-band outfit when he takes time off, but conversely plenty of benefits with that too. If I have an accident and cant' get through to him, I will call my underwriter.

I'm with Admiral for mine, I've had no problems with them. I wish I could remember which specialist insurer I spoke to earlier in the year who spent about 20-25 minutes on the phone with me doing the quote then at the end said "Oh sorry, we can't provide cover as you're under 30".

Useless bd, he knew how old I was when he took my date of birth.

If I change from Admiral it needs to be for someone who will offer track day cover as well, do either of them offer it?

REIS were good for me and include trackdays, HOWEVER with one caveat-I found they didn't want to cover a PH Sunday Service at Silverstone with track action. Bloody annoying.

Mary at REIS is knowledgable, swift with responses and gave better service than Adrian Flux (who seem either great or astonishingly useless depending on who you speak to), but wasn't interested in helping at all with the above, it was basically "Yeah, you're on your own, tough luck".
