S2 Elise, is it for me???
Discussion
PS - when I had a break in between Loti I bought the Boxster S. I soon pined to be back in something special...
Running cost wise I would say the Exige was the cheapest car I have probably ever run, let alone by contrast to the TVRs and Porsche. They are lightweight so don't eat through tyres or consumables much at all and when they do need replacing they are cheap. Otherwise they are so simple there isn't much to go wrong. And for all the moaning about it "only" being a Toyota engine in the 111R/Exige S2's, it means it rarely goes wrong.

I have just bought a 2006 111R and have to say there are pros and cons.
So my S2 is for sale.
The K Series S2 has a lightness & delicacy to it.
By comparison, the Toyota-engined 111R feels like a tractor - or perhaps a rocket-tractor!
That said, I think most of my driving will be without exploiting the cam-change point.

Hi folks, I thought I'd provide an update, I bought the 111R that I was going to look at at Jon Seal's place on Saturday :-)
He's going to do a few things that it needs and all being well I should be able to collect it next weekend, just hope the weather holds!
