430’s and 410’s can not pass any normal track day static tests. You can of course go on tracks with drivebys and as mentioned short shift past the meters.

Not ideal and if you have the Titanium Exhaust ( on the 430 or optional on the 410 ) you aren’t going to want to interchange systems for a quiet back box as the Titanium sound is brilliant, but not track friendly
I had no problem with the 105dB static test at Croft !

Yes I think you can just about get by on a 105db with a 410 or 430 exhaust, but there are hardly any track days a year that are 105db

The exhaust will hit circa 101 static before the valves open at around 4500rpm. Then you're over 110. Some have seen 116dB eek

To pass a static at 105 you probably did the same as me...... not go to 4500rpm.

Congrats OP on the purchase. Enjoy the drive smile

I'll be at Silverstone on the 24th when it's a 102 driveby. I don't believe they'll be testing static on the day so the plan is to lift on the straight past the noise meter.

Yes that’s the trick, trying to keep the tester happy and engine revs down

Silverstone has a noise meter with a camera, just on the entrance to the National pit straight . Good Luck

Love that black one. Would have had it myself if it weren't for the fact I've a car I need to sell first. I had a V6S that I sold almost 2 years ago and still miss it now.

Well done on the purchase. Keen to know your thoughts and impressions.

what can be done about this as some tracks still have static tests? Ideally i need to use the car for both bedford and brands.

410’s and 430’s can not pass the static test at Bedford and in the unlikely event that you did you would need to short shift on 3 parts of the circuit or you would trigger the driveby test.

Never done Brands so can’t comment

Passed static at Goodwood (105) by negotiating a reduced throttle for the day. Just had to short shift past the 3 noise meters positioned around the track. Only tripped the 101db meter once so wasn't a huge inconvenience. Even with the reduced throttle we were still very quick smile

Where did you get the noise reducing cans from?

I did find this: https://www.larinisystems.com/collection/lotus/exi...

2bular offer a system for the 410/430. The QP exhaust will get you down to 91/92db. Add that 350mm cans and you'll scrape the 89db required for Thruxton.

It's my belief that the supercharger is 90db so that's as low as you can physically go anyway.

This is with the QP system fitted and end cans. Still loud because of the charger.

If you don’t mind changing back box every time you go on track then buy a quiet exhaust. Simple Solution, as you can’t add anything on to quieten down the pig snout Exhausts.

As I have a titanium one i can’t be asked with messing about with that and in any event it makes a great sound. I therefore pick carefully which tracks I can get on or sometimes do the odd noisy day which are available

Eddie have you modified your air box or intake as my supercharger is nowhere near as noticeable as yours (in fact I can barely hear mine - late 2018 car)
