My 111s has started leaking coolant through the header cap recently and yesterday culminated in blowing said cap off and releasing a big steam cloud all over the motorway. Going to replace the tank and cap but suspect this is head off time. Could anyone recommend a good specialist around here?

Jon Seal in Wakefield if he still does work. He’s active on here as fridaypassion.

Not sure of any others, except Foulds Motors in Holmfirth.

I don't think JS is doing much spanner stuff anymore, other options in no particular order:

Performance Autocare near Harrogate
Track Torque in Tockwith
Type 116 Motorsport in Rawdon (Jon's old mechanic)

M & G in Bradford did my head gasket a few years ago as well as looking after my MG ZT 260 at the time.

They’re not Lotus specialists as such but the K-series is their bread and butter. They’ve looked at plenty of Elises over the years and work on MG F’s all the time.

Perhaps not the place I’d go for clam-off work, but no hesitation for engine and gearbox.

I've been taking my Exige to Johnny at Performance Autocare for a few years now and he's great.
