So that is exactly what I was going to spec, but I was told by Lotus that for the first few months they wouldn't be allowing any individual elements of black pack, it was either all or none. I came to the conclusion that there are more elements I preferred in body colour than black, so decided to go all in on the black-pack delete. Finally time I can spill my guts too. I’ve had a build slot for a 390 booked for a while. As others, mine is quite off piste spec, ordered for me, not the next guy.
No black pack, all the luxuries..(well, lotus luxuries)
Keeping final spec under my hat because I’m having a few bits done before delivery too.
Until today I didn’t actually know what I’d ordered, so it’s been quite a big day and I’m pleased I went 390.

I’m pleased to see you without black pack too, nice to see I’m not alone. I nearly went for a 410 when originally ordering but wanted the access panel, spoiler, etc colour coding to the body so the 390 having 350 panels is perfect for me.

Do you think you be taking the roof off?
It’s a key thing for me but I wasn’t ordering a roadster so will get a conversion.

I almost went Motorsport Black, but I used to have a Series 3 Elise S in yellow and I adored it in the sun. My Elise had a hard top too but it was a totally different experience with the roof off on a sunny day, it was just perfect. Plus at 6'4 it was much easier to get in and out April is similar to what I was told too.

I had a couple of elises too, both s1’s back in the day. One of the very first, ‘97 model in Silver with red roof/seats, and then a 2000 Jps model. I couldn’t buy a lotus without the option to take the roof off.
Only dawned on me the other day that I owned one of the first elises and now I will have one of the last exiges. A generation apart.
