Elise/Exige and speed bumps

I have an S3 Exige, adjustable Nitrons.

It has never scraped itself on any speed humps/strips, it needs a gentle approach though. It does scuff, albeit lightly, on deeper dropped kerbs though

I have a S2 on nitron streets. I clip the front plate on speed bumps and gradient changes if I’m not careful.

I treat the plate as sacrificial.

Absolutely fine at standard height. Just don't brake onto them. Take it slow and steady.

Mine is lowered to CupR height and is still fine.

When we go on 'runs out' with a few cars across the generations it's generally the S3 cars that lose hardware along the way, particularly the Cup Elise cars.

That said they can all get over deceptively large humps due to lack of overhang at the front. Some splitter arrangements allow for a sacrificial positioning of numberplate and/or rubber trim to act as a heads up.

My S2 Exige is far better than my lowered Impreza was for clearing stuff.
