Has anyone here had issues balancing wheels on a lotus or on an exige?
I’ve had mine force matched and balanced at imperial tyres in Swindon and there is still steering wheel shake at 80-90mph. They’ve done 4 track days so maybe they’ve had it but there is still plenty of tread.

I’m at the point where I’m just going to have to buy a new set of cup 2’s.

Any thoughts? Bell & Colvill tinder me today that it’s a known issue to balance a lotus well.

From doing quite a lot of track work if the wheels are really hard to balance, first port of call is to check they are not out of true. Youd expect a wheel balancer to spot this, but they often don't seem to.

Yes we road force matched them so we checked the wheels and the tyres. I’m sticking some new cup 2’s on tomorrow morning for the sake of £300 so I’ll see how they perform. Will report back.

Previously force matching has always sorted out any wheel wobble on my cars but not the exige. I think it’s so light at the front that it needs to be very precisely done, maybe even on the car.

Update : replaced front tyres and all good now. Think they were just not round any more.
