Hi Pistonheaders,

I'm in the Afro-Caribbean cosmetics and food business and I'm interested In setting up shop in Ireland and moving over.

Obviously, I know that there isn't a HUGE population of black people in Ireland, and that they may be dotted about quite a lot over the vast country, however like the saying "Birds of a feather flock together" there always certain areas of a city or town that has a higher population.

I'm guessing that Dublin will have the highest overall population (but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) and I've narrowed it down to North Dublin as opposed to the South of Dublin. Is there certain areas of N.Dublin that has a higher concentration?

I obviously plan to visit Ireland in the new year, speak to estate agents, look at any competition established already, decide whether I can set up life there etc but being forewarned is forearmed, and who else to ask but the PistonHeads massive who have always been very informative and helpful.

Thank you for any responses given in advance,

Kindest regards,

Keemaklan

To be honest I'm not sure of where there would be the highest concentration but the central statistics office does a census every few years, they might have the data that you need. www.cso.ie
