was hoping to see the famous tvr monster live now (already packed my spaners to lift up your bonnet :-) )
It's got a hinged bonnet, so when it eventually gets on the road, you wouldn't need spanners to open it...(and I'll say it myself before anyone else does: at least ONE thing that won't need any spanners) LOOOOL

Bump
Any news or updates ?????
BOOM...Any news or updates ?????
Not tried to get anymore Hp or Torque as I feel 420 bhp with 400 Ft-lbs @ the wheels is plentiful for development purposes at this moment in time
If my engine goes Boom I want it to go hypersonic Boom

I actually checked this forum the first time in almost a week... Guess that says enough about how high a priority cars have these days in my life.Dom
Got too much going on at the moment to be bothered tbh..

The 4.5 compared to the standard 4.0 gained a 22.7% in hp and 29% in torque on a 12.5% volume increase.
The 5.0 compared to the 4.5 gained a 3.6% in hp, and 11.6% in torque on a 11.1% volume increase.
Clearly diminishing returns. I agree it is likely the engine's breathing is limiting at least the hp. To take advantage of the increased capacity more air molecules need to be compressed into the engine than it can breathe for itself.
I guess that is why Dom has been talking about turbocharging, although I would prefer supercharging to maintain the main reason for my wanting a straight six in the first place, it's sound.
Aspirated power is all im interested at the moment, yes you’re all correct my 5 ltr not making huge numbers why? Simple answer "start safe" then lean on the old girl, at the moment im only running 11:0:1 compression with a Very safe squish, Standard road cams and valve springs, my whole objective is 100% reliability The 5.0 compared to the 4.5 gained a 3.6% in hp, and 11.6% in torque on a 11.1% volume increase.

So you all ask what’s the next level will be:
Larger Exhaust Valves, better cams with a little more compression, larger intake butterflies and much better exhaust manifolds with the all new Smart MBE ecu.

Any update on this, up to 6k bhp and torque is very impressive especially considering safe start and better than all other options available,
5ltr been the easiest development program with no issues which is great news for 4.3 & 4.5 owners, I'm doing a phase 2 program over the winter which involves changing piston speed to achieve higher torque and Hp figures.. Dom
