Power 4.3- How do they do it?

Just a quicky,(oo er matron)

Do they keep the stock crank & do it all by increasing the bore?
My engine knowledge is pretty basic so just trying to understand.

No, the 4.3 uses a different crank and longer stroke whereas the 4.5 is stroked AND bored.

When I first booked in the work, I new what bits were involved, but I had no appreciation of the labour involved!
I had toyed with the idea of doing it myself, but you'd need a pretty well kitted out engineering workshop!
