Taken the cam cover of to paint it,ordered new gasket from Tvr parts,it says to glue gasket to the cover.Is the gasket to head surface left dry or can you put something on it help make sure it seals.Any advice please.

I think you just leave it dry. The bolts when tightened will form a good seal around the gasket. Been a long time since I did mine but that,s how I remember it.

Done it dry both sides. Clean with acetone and it works a treat, torque up again when hot, it will yield. Think the glueing applies to the Raceproved cover, it feels slippery when dry so glue on and leave over

Fat fingers and an iPad.... pt 2

.....Overnight. I used Evostik serious glue.... don’t laugh, I rang technical and told them the two materials and that is what the guy said, has worked a treat. Contact adhesive goes all snotty and soft with oil, this doesn’t.
