Apologies for thread hijack

Does NavFree work without a data connection? i.e. can I use it on my IPhone when abroad with roaming disbaled?

Along similar lines can Navfree be used on a WiFi-only Ipad 2?

TIA smile

Navfree loads fully on to your phone and does not use data.
iPad wifi only does not have GPS, so no, it will not work.

Used to use NavFree before buying the TomTom app and, for a free satnav it was pretty good.

Tom Tom Western Europe for me too.

IQ Routes
HD Traffic
Speed cameras
Lifetime free updates

And the HD Traffic can be scarily accurate. Coming back to Kent across the Dartford Crossing on Wednesday night, the predicted congestion started within 30 metres of the actual congestion.

Cheers,
Effortless.

Does the HD Traffic come bundled with the original download or is it a separate purchase? I intalled the Western Europe maps at the weekend but cannot get the HD Traffic updates to work; same problem I had with the TT1000.

The TomTom iphone app requires a separate 1 month or 12 month subscription for HD traffic & camera updates (find it in shop within the app). Updates to the mapping are free when released.

Thanks. Having checked, I'm already subscribed but its not functioning and looking at various comments it seems as if I'm not alone in having subscribed to this service without it working.
