I'm primarily after a rear-view camera as I can't see out the back of my Mini very well - It's a fibreglass one with a lower roof. So I need a camera and a screen, but I figured I might as well have a second camera looking forward and the ability to record both.

Is that something that exists? If so, what should I look for and what's good?

Thanks

Assuming you just want a front and rear dashcam then it's very easy to have 2 separate dashcams front and back.

If you want a front and rear system then: https://www.amazon.co.uk/KOONLUNG-K1S-2-CHANNEL-GP...

If you want a parking rear view camera or a live view rear camera then get a screen and camera on eBay.

Mio do a combined front/rear dash cam, the MiVue 698.
The rear camera is wired to the front camera/recorder so you'd need to consider routing that.

Thanks, they're both useful suggestions.

This is for a fully stripped out plastic mini, so there's no issues running wires etc.

But the car is very clean lines and I don't want to spoil that so one of the main criteria is a discrete install for the cameras. Ideally I'd be after a couple of bullet cameras, something that I could mount in the grill, or in the boot lid perhaps.

Are there any modular options for a SD Card type recorder box that I can plug different cameras and a screen into? What I want is to turn the ignition on, it to start recording on a loop for both cameras and put the rear camera on a screen, I don't need buttons and switches, just the ability to pull the SD card if I want to copy footage to a PC and to be able to see what's behind me a bit better.

I'll have a proper google later, but if anyone has any ideas....
