Apple CarPlay apps? Waze?

I've just installed a CarPlay head unit in my camper and wonder what other apps people use on it.
I didn't think waze would work fully on it but on the pioneer site they show it working?
I can't get beyond voice control with no display.

Spotify works.

Waze doesn't, as you've noticed. Probably because google own a stake in Waze and Apple and Google don't get on.

That'll be through Pioneer's AppRadio display sharing system, which isn't the same as CarPlay, and requires a different adapter, annoyingly. You also can't easily switch between CarPlay and AppRadio apps.

Your instructions will refer to it as 'AppRadio Mode'. You'll need Apple's Lightning Digital AV adapter.

As above, Waza isn't supported by CarPlay, the only non Apple app that I use on it is TuneIn Radio.
