iDrive system for BMW 530d M Sport keeps rebooting,

Hi guys,

The iDrive on BMW 530d M Sport 08 plate keeps rebooting, is it a coding issue? Anyone had the same? If so how did you get it fixed, I'm from East London

iDrive can have problems due to water gathering in the boot.

Did you ever get this sorted? Only just seen it so thought I'd add my experience! It's not uncommon for the idrive in older BMWs (CCC vs newer CIC) to start playing up, seen it quite a bit with cars this age. Best bet is to get in touch with somebody that knows their stuff with the systems, I'm sure the whole lot can be reset and they can play about with coding etc. Usually get a lot of help on the forums or bmw pages on facebook

I've actually got it booked to get a new CCC unit from dnb retrofits tomorrow as nothing was sorting it out and I'm going on a long road trip and therefore needed my tunes. Will update this post with my experience from these guys who only specialise in BMW's. @dnb_retrofits check out there stuff on instagram.

Good to hear. Looking forward to seeing the results as we're looking for an E92 and will probably want the CIC upgrade doing too. Hope it all works out well

Just finished from dnd retrofits and I'm very impressed.
Got my new CCC with one year warranty which was coded by them too. Gave me latest maps too.
Think that got me was the guy tried to see if the unit was still serviceable or not rather than going straight to getting me to get another unit.
They're based in higham Rochester in Kent but can drive out to see you in London too.
Reasonably priced. So I'll go back and recommend to my friends
