What is the best way to get DAB radio in the car? Should I buy an adapter or just stream from a smartphone? Our 2017 Citigo does not have DAB and there are DAB stations I would like to listen to while in the car. Removing the existing sound system and installing another is not an option as the car is on finance.
If your car has USB socket, you could use this. ?

I think that's the Alpine branded version of the Pure Highway. Don't know if there are any internal differences to give better quality output.Excellent sound quality and easily renoved if you should change your car....
I recently enquired about retrofitting dab into my Eclass using comand online (who specialise in this stuff).

These 3rd party devices look okay I suppose but you can't beat a properly integrated system.

If you are not using the aux input and want to tune it into via FM the Pure Highway has a physical fm cable rather than just sending an FM signal, this is useful as it will over ride weak FM stations as you drive around, where as they can ruin your dab is you use it wirelessly.

Longer in my neck of the woods. No reception at all in the Hope Valley and patchy in lots of other places.This is not a viable alternative to FM and the government is giving us a very inferior service when FM quits.

DAB reception is still not great around certain parts of the UK, particularly Scotland, was up the East coast last week for a wee break and the signal kept dropping out, FM however was still good ,though not great if you are a 6 Music fan, (particularly the wonderfull Radcliffe and Maconie), like me as its DAB only

There are dab modules on eBay but I'm worried about blowing cash on one that's not compatible.

I've not had a problem in any part of the UK that I have travelled with a decent aerial, but loads of drop outs in my Merc with the factory aerial, same with the BMW.I fitted a Kinetic 6003 to our ML and it was rock solid everywhere, that was with an Alpine W925r head unit. I was told there was no DAB going through one of the villages on the A702, as you come off the A74 before Douglas and head across to Edinburgh, but not once did it lose signal.
Same up at Kenmore, the dab map showed that as no reception area but we never had an issue.
I just think they need to start putting decent aerials on cars from the factory.

Mine is a late 2011, I needed the black dab module for mine, comand 4, later 2012 cars use the silver version I believe for NTG4.5 and higher (sd card slot instead of pcmia).There are dab modules on eBay but I'm worried about blowing cash on one that's not compatible.

You then need to go into the engineer menu on comand and turn dab on.
Oh, and the unit goes in the space under the passenger footwell mat, so all really easy to install.
