Has anyone got one of these? I do over 1000 miles a week and just want some extra reassurance against speed cameras.
Yes I shouldn't be speeding, and 98% I'm not. But if I go into areas/ roads I'm not familiar with thought this might help.
Does it pick up the mobile speed camera vans that are randomly parked in lay-bys, bridges etc?

It's generally thought that if your device detects mobile laser you are instantly caught.
I can understand the need for them. I have a speed camera near me which I drive past 99% of the time at or under the speed limit. Once or twice I've forgotten and gone past faster than I should have done. Luckily nothing happened with ticketing. Drive in London and the speed limit changes 1001 times, a truck will hide sign changes, another motorist will cause an incident, you swerve and miss the new speed limit.
Generally I find the standard satnav warnings to be OK. For instance they only beep at gantries that have cameras installed above them and not at every gantry with fake markings.
