Anyone got one of these installed as I need some help?

The nav doesnt display my current position, the digital radio signal is terrible and the normal radio doesn't pick up medium wave i.e 5 live.

Please help.

Could be an antenna issue. I had an older car with built in nav in the past, and the rubber seal around the base of the antenna/ GPS unit cracked as the rubber aged. Water got in and reception deteriorated significantly.

Interesting, that did cross my mind.

Is it simply a case of drying it out?

Mine had corroded on the inside, so I fitted a new antenna (or rather, paid an auto electrician to install a part I bought online).

Getting a few tests with a voltmeter is likely your best bet.

Did your car come with nav as standard or was it retrofit? If retro fit, you likely have a receiver somewhere else that may be at fault. Given that you've lost gps and radio signal though, it's likely in the same place.

It was a retro fit. I wouldn't have a clue what i'm doing though

A good auto electrician should be able to find the issue fairly quickly. Might even be something simple like a faulty earth, but only one way to find out...
