I picked up my 'new to me' 57 plate V8 coupe yesterday from Aston Workshop. As you can tell from the timing of this post I can't sleep very well lol

The workshop prepped the car really well prior to me picking it up. They spent a few weeks sorting out the issues they had noted as well as a few cosmetic things I had spotted:

Oil and filter service
Replaced 4x corroded brake lines
Replaced passenger window module
Replaced passenger door strut
Replaced both rear springs
Cleaned the air con radiator
Air con regas
Full machine polish and wax to remove most of the surface swirls etc
Replaced the passenger side lower paint shield
Some other stuff that I forget lol

The folks at Aston Workshop have been really good to deal with. Despite me making probably the cheapest Aston purchase of the year from them, they have treated me as if I was buying their DB4 Zagato recreation. I even got a passenger ride in the DB6 Superleggera instead of having to walk next door to the pub for lunch (it took 20 mins for the DB6 to get to the pub if you catch my drift - suitable B road detour to experience the car was found!)

I'll get pics up as soon as I can. Weather awful on the drive home.

The only fault I can find so far is the fuel gauge. Pretty sure it needs replacing. Seems to drop really quickly . . .

Pics to follow.

Congratulations but we don't even know what colour it is (I'm guessing black, silver or grey!). We need those pics smile

Had my first Aston issue today! TPS warning message on the dash board . . . (after 20+ minutes faffing with the audio settings). A quick check on here suggests that TADTS when you leave the electrics on for 20+ minutes with no engine running?

The twin-plate clutch makes a lot noise (chattering) at low revs. Again i think that's normal for those?

I also think i have heard the carbon propshaft/gravel noise a few times when accelerating at low revs (1k rpm ish) (again, hopefully TADTS) smile

The gearbox sounds like it has a faint whine as i accelerate. This is really difficult to hear above the exhaust noise. Happens when cold and also once warmed up. Not certain if this is the idler pully/aux belt that might need the up-rated part fitting, or maybe the oil pump? I didn't notice this on the drive home (raining). In the dry I've only managed to hear this today because i was stuck in some traffic thus the exhaust wasn't screaming!

I've found the EQ controls on the audio system (didn't read the manual - took 10 mins to work out what to do to get those lol!). Set them as per a few folks suggestions on here. Seems to be better than the default setup.

TPS light and warning went off after i drove it.

Working out how to make the Nav system fold away was a bugger - I HAD to read the manual for that one lol!

So far so good! The CC Charger(sp?) remote fob to d1ck around with the exhaust noise is proving . . . addictive smile

Intend too chap. It's 30% less fuel efficient than my 996 Turbo . . . but about 100% more stimulating to drive. It's frankly insane for all the wrong (and right) reasons lol!
