RH speaker bank not working. What to check first?

Excuse my ignorance but I’ve never had cause to piss about with in-car wiring etc.

Neither the front nor the rear RH speaker is working on the wife’s Peugeot 3008.

Both LH speakers are fine.

What should I check, and where should I look, first?

First, check the setting of the balance control, try it all the way left & right to see if you can get anything.

If you can remove the unit, or get your hands behind check for loose wiring.

Otherwise, its probably the R-side amp in the unit that is bad

It’ll be the balance setting. Probably easy to accidentally turn it all the way to the left if you make a slip-up trying to turn the volume down in a hurry.

It should be issue with the wiring between the head unit and each speaker then cause all of the speakers to cut out. Take a loser look at loose or unplugged wires.

It's not the balance setting, I checked that in the sub menus.

I'll have a look and a poke around.

Acquire a multimeter and set it to Ohms, check resistance of the working speakers channel and the failed speakers channel to see if there is a short or open circuit on the failed channel
