First post. I want to complain about LED bulbs and ask for others experiences and the cars they have been put in.

For some context, i got a lovely dog of a focus, 1.6 tdci MK2 from 04. This beast has had its fair share of issues and one of those was the battery. ive since upgraded to a new Yuasa battery which was an instant inprovement across the board.

to get to the point, Ive tried many different lights from ebay. Some were regular diodes for the side ligths, others single COB LEDS, others were multi-COBs, the common denominator is that they usually burn out quickly. I want to know if anyones had the same issues with new or old cars when trying to upgrade, if anyone has had different experiences with cheap LEDs and if its just my old beast acting funny. I have a theory that my altenator could be providing an uneven power output which LEDs dont like at all, while my old incandecent bulbs arent bothered about.

Let me know, the types ive tried different brands of lights in the most is my reg plate lights and the side lights, Ive also installed cheap LED side repeaters which have been flawless, but of course they dont receive constant power.

With cheap ebay LEDs you never know the source.

I replaced all mine with the best-reviewed LEDs from amazon and they have all been fine. These ones (although currently unavailable) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EQU0EUU/ref...

I've been through a few cheap LEDs from ebay/ Aliepxress etc. Just ordered Osram's LEDs instead hopefully they will be a buy once solution.
