Following a load of catalyst thefts in my area, Id like to add a tilt switch alarm to my car, preferably self contained, and also as loud as loud can be.

My thinking is that this would go off as soon as the scotes jack the car up.....

My googlefoo is failing me, all I cans ee is self build arduino type stuff....

Car might already have one fitted as standard. Try locking and jacking to see.

Plenty of these on Amazon, although they seem to be triggered by vibration rather than tilt.

Lots of tilt sensors on the market, can be connected to a good alarm

When parking the car and switching the alarm on, the sensor registers the angle of parking be it a hill or kerb etc, the sensor then triggers the alarm if that angle alters

Did you find one? My car (Lexus CT200h) has a tilt triggered alarm but the thieves got around this by cutting the wire to the horn. Alarm is triggered and lights flash but no sound.... I could double up the wiring maybe but the risk is they rip off the grill to stop the horn hence a self contained solution would be better.
