Cant believe people defending the driving of the Audi on this forum---didnt see the Mondeo, my arse! Its a total blantant bit of "my cars faster than yours" idiocy and the Q7 is even over the white line. The Mondeo was clearly past the Audi before he floored it, how could you not see someone overtaking you....??

As for generalising, yes I'm afraid "Generally" a lot of Audi drivers are awful, theres no smoke without fire...Q7s being the worst examples. Not every Audi driver is an idiot, granted and a nice A4 driver did let me out of my side road the other day, which was a nice surprise... but Im afraid a lot of your average pushy, selfish me, me, me people have graduated from B-ems to Audis. oops, theres two lots of generalisations out there!! Be honest with yourself, have you ever seen an Audi Q7 driven considerately..really?!! sadly, some types of vehicle really do change your behaviour-big torquey 4x4s being a prime example. I should know- when I had my Impreza I was a total cock!!!

rolleyes

Generally a lot of drivers are awful.

Stereotyping is very rarely helpful, in any form.

Probably safer than you overtaking then the Audi driver up your arse for the rest of the journey..
There's something in this. Admittedly he didnt give you much warning that he was going to be an ahole, but i tend to make sure i dont overtake anyone who i'm fairly confident is one, unless i can put a handful of traffic between us as well.

This sort of driver is better in front of you than behind you, if you have to be near them.

Maybe slightly off topic, but, I find it a bit strange that some of you guys actually record yourself driving. Can I ask why? Just a thought.

A guy did a similar thing to me a while back when I was driving my daughters Punto back from the garage. He was in a White RR Sport, I would have taken things further but he looked like the incredible hulk. My daughters music taste is st too btw....

In all honesty, you should have bought a faster car.

In the hope that it will save money and hassle in the future, by providing evidence that an accident was entirely someone else fault.

Hi Simoid,
So, why not record your every waking moment? And, what if an accident is actually your fault. Oh, didn't have the camera actually working that day. Sorry, but I find this a little sad. I guess it is borne out of the claim/blame culture we seem to have fallen into. As you may have guessed I am of the more elderly group and maybe fall into the where the f**k are you coming from genre.
As you were.

Don't worry about it! I've not got an in-car camera, just giving one of the reasons PHers use them smile

Consider it as an extra 'insurance'.

Obviously it can work both ways, but if you drive to the rules of the road it's far more likely to help you than hinder you.

Would the Audi driver have carried out the same stunt if the overtaking car had been in a marked police car. Or would any overtaking have taken place if one car was a marked police car.

I like to treat other drivers on the road as if they where police officers, it dosnt half improve my driving driving

And then again I just think fk it biggrin

That's nowhere near as fun as pretending you are driving the police car.

Man up hehe

It looks like the mondeo is going for the overtake because of its ego, not because its being held up, I'm not really suprised the audi didn't like it.

It looks to me as if the mondeo was smoother and maintained his momentum better through the roundabouts so he was well positioned and had momentum to start the overtake. Ego think was much more likely to be from th Audi driver.
