Have you thought about making a video chatting to someone else in the car? (Maybe you have done so and I have missed it) It might make a teaching video more watchable. I know you approached one of the car Youtubers to explore a collaboration - did you try a number of them?

While we are on this topic, because I am sure it has been considered, what are the risks of filming and talking to the camera while driving in general? Does this increase if there is a second person?

Obviously it can be done reasonably safely, I certainly enjoy the videos, and talk to passengers while driving, and occasionally phone people I know well hand free while driving, while not taking business calls or speaking to a call centre sorting out bills etc while driving.

Just the one so far, but I’ll try a few others & see if I can get some interest. I’m just at that point with the channel (just over 5,000 subs), that a little collaboration with a bigger channel would give it a substantial boost.

Having said that, I’m still enjoying just making my own stuff as and when it suits, so I’m not too concerned either way.

I must admit this thought has crossed my mind as well. It'd be nice as a (RoSPA/IAM) tutor reference, and would show that AD 'lessons' needn't be the boring adenoidal nit-picking the wider public seem to think. It'd also open the channel, and 'enthusiastic/performance driving', to a wider audience who currently think that's just a synonym for kitten killing boy racers. It'd be a pretty interesting video imo.

Don’t worry - I’ll continue to make car content, but I’ve had quite a few requests for bike stuff & I feel I’m suitably qualified now.

M2 Competition - drive modes:

This was spot on Reg. I'm in a very similar position getting used to the modes on the same car!
I'm totally with you on the mid level for the steering, personally I hate the weight changing - just want it consistent.

I have pretty much identical settings apart from M1 still set to auto. I find it useful to then jump in and out of sequential with the paddles as needed, makes it a bit more of a compromise setting and I use it more often. Any decent road gets M2 with the same settings you're using (steering mid).

I'd have a slightly different view on only using MDM in perfect, dry conditions. In the wet everything happens much slower and it's lovely controllable fun. Obviously best used on the right roads and when no other traffic about.

Also loving the 'Scottish Overtakes'. smile
