Hey this is my first post.

Bit of background I think is required, I'm 22, passed back in November (first time) and proceeded to get a car.

Now this may be used against me however I have the following
Fiat "grande" Punto active.
In honesty, it does its job perfectly well.

I'm 6'1 and recently I've become to find either my left (always left) shoulder becomes v achey when driving, and also the bend of my right foot, the bit which attaches the foot to my leg? That hurts, i imagine from flexing between brake and accelerator.

I am hoping for someone to give some assistance with a correct seat position, if required I can get some photos of how I currently have it and go from there.

FYI steering wheel is height and reach adjustable, seat I can change back angle, height and sliding.

Hope you can assist me with this! Drives me mad, no pun intended

Cheers

Same height as you and had the pain in the bend of my foot recently. Only when I mentioned it to the other half did she tell me she'd moved my seat forward a bit and adjusted my mirrors and forgot to put them all back.

Try sitting a little further back if you can. For me, I'm most comfortable when my left leg has a very slight bend in it when the clutch is fully depressed. For my height, steering wheel is generally as high as it can go.

I have wheel at lowest... may need to change that.

Regarding your legs, depress clutch then move seat until I have a tiny bend but not a leg lock?

Yeah, that's how I do it. If you feel a little far away from the clutch, move a centimeter or so in. The pain from your foot is because you're too close to the pedal, so you have your foot bent at a sharp angle.

I find my wife's Fabia makes my right foot ache, or more specifically my shin muscles would cramp up on long drives. My E36 Manuel 2.5 had a stronger accelerator pedal spring and was OK. My new 335d has a weak acc pedal spring, and would be the same if I did not have cruise control for A/M road stretches. I am not sure if it would be possible to change the spring at a dealer, if the right foot hurts, and changing seat position does not resolve.
