Troll rating 0/10, must try harder...
Define TROLL in the confines of this thread. Thank youCan I suggest a visit ti the 'Knob', 'Crappy plate' and 'Bad Parking' threads where RR owners are taken to task almost on a daily basis.
Troll is a moniker that is used far too freely on PH.

First post so might as well annoy a few people!
As per the title, here are my candidates:
3. Any Volvo. Strange that these have been the vehicle of choice for incompetents for so many years.
Never owned one but most of my refresher C1999 was in a T5 including the final drive. My work car was also a T4, for a while, a couple of years later. As per the title, here are my candidates:

I'm IAM and Rospa, and have had a Volvo for over 20 years "dilligaf"
On Cars unlikely to be IAM/Rospa.....
Any Renault, nah any French car
Merc's
Any Corsa (unless a driving school car)(except BSM)
Any white van
Any HGV when in lane 2 of a two lane road going up hill 1/2 a mile faster than the HGV he is overtaking
On Cars unlikely to be IAM/Rospa.....
Any Renault, nah any French car
Merc's
Any Corsa (unless a driving school car)(except BSM)

The road speed limiter fitted to trucks many years ago & the sheer number of trucks on the road is just part of modern life. Before the limiters were fitted trucks ran at varying speeds & generally never really exceeded 60mph which is plenty fast enough to have 44 tonnes rolling down the motorway, although they could go faster usually didn't. The bunching of trucks & sitting beside one another for miles on end would be avoided if the driver just knocked the cruise down a couple of mph & established a safe travelling gap by dropping back but in modern life everybody wants to be there first . I hope this is not the future for cars as if road speed limiters are fitted in 2022 although in the early ones will be able to switch off . At the moment most cars are more than capable of 100 mph+ but most people drive at realistic legal & socially acceptable speeds, if every car is limited to same speed the bunching of vehicles may become much worse. On Cars unlikely to be IAM/Rospa.....

I drive a Merc, and am an IAM member. Keep guessing. On Cars unlikely to be IAM/Rospa.....

Brisel.....damn.... oh well one of you out there
Efbe..... Did both just to compare, I like the Rospa one better as you have to retake the test every 3 years to remain a member, and therefore keep your skills up. Having a Fail, Bronze, silver, and gold pass is a good idea as we all want a "gold".
In so far as was it worth it for both, yes because it shows you your lack of skills, as no one likes to be told they are not as good as they think they are.
For insurance purpose, I doubt it, some companies recognise "pass plus" more than IAM and or Rospa. "Suriety" who are "IAM"'s preferred insurer actually quote far more for insurance premiums (for me) than many other insures.....so what's the point? I like the Rospa test, it is also not "rigid" certainly makes you drive better, and swallowing "roadcraft" to understand how to drive "smarter" makes you also understand how Plod are trained and drive for their "standard" and "advanced" courses

All cars are very unlikely to contain what you may refer to as an Advanced driver. Most people never get passed basic operation of the car and really don’t take any pleasure in driving or pay much attention to it. For 99% of the population, of they were to read this topic may think that we are a bunch of bores discussing advanced pedestrianise and getting worked up because most people do t pay attention to curbs or the cracks in the pavements and spend most of their time walking with a mobile device in their hands, whilst us advanced walkers are spiffing marvellous
