Im sure the XE is able to cope with overtakes, maybe its even faster than my Legacy but what I meant was the the run of the mill st boxes that make up most of the cars on the road are dull, boring, and leave alot to be desired when it comes to actually overtaking, well anything.
Irony.

I can only think of one B road offhand that had a 70 limit, and that's now 40.
Was that before 1977 when the national speed limit for single carriageway roads was reduced to 60?

In 1977 the single carriageway NSL was increased from 50 to 60, having been reduced from 70 in about 1973.

The B road in question was a dual carriageway near Enfield. Opened as an A road, then along with at least one other road connecting to it downgraded to a B road after the part of the M25 covering roughly the same route was opened, but kept NSL for years.

the loser is back, how have you evaded me so long - drivining a st box of a leased 320d and you think you are god or something.biggrin

can you do me a favour and just f**k off from being a sad loser and following me - cheers. I am sure you have more important things to do in life like worry where your next sale is coming from and find the cheapest fuel pump.
It’s difficult to ignore someone who posts such drivel Eric. Why you continue to dismiss the ultimate driving machine is a mystery. Considering what you drive (a shed) and how you drove (like a bell) you’re not coming from a position of strength. As for evasion, yes, given your obsession for racing (and losing) various slip road races against the mighty 118d I’d have thought you’d have given all that up?
