Speed Retarding Chicane

The oncoming vehicle has priority through this chicane. I am behind the waiting line. When should I move off?
A) When the vehicle has cleared the narrow curbed area and there is room for us both to pass in the wider area?
B) When the vehicle has totally overtaken me and the whole chicane area is clear?
On the other side of the chicane, there is a road off to the left and to the right is a petrol station forecourt. If I wait for the oncoming vehicle to clear behind me then there is a good chance that other vehicles may appear from one of the other directions, holding me up even longer.
