During rebuild I think Central TVR stuck an old water temp sensor on the free MS3 ATS air temp sensor wire (see pic. the sensor number is for a water sensor)

I have searched but can’t find info on what Air temp sensor to get for my configuration (ACT tripple plenum/ no cats) and Megasquirt MS3. Can anyone asdvise?

My rebuild was interupted by Covid and is in my garage for me to fiddle with until Central TVR re-open

Thanks

Oliver

The air temp sensor will be similar and with the same temperature/electrical characteristics, but ideally with an open bulb type sensor. However, if you aren't using forced induction, a closed bulb type as you're showing there will be fine since you won't be expecting rapid temperature swings.

Thanks for the info. I ended up getting an open unit as recommended by the MS3 chap

That looks very much like the lucas fuel temp sensor to me .. make sure the temperature scaling in your ecu matches the relevant curve for that sensor if you decide to keep it.
