it was great as was traffic jam assist in Bath.
Having returned from a journey where the car seemed totally oblivious to fairly widespread traffic disruption, I was going to post about this.I can't seem to find where the feature is located (or how to activate it).
Can you shed any light?

When stopped in traffic you press the centre button on left hand side of steering wheel to activate cruise or pilot assist mode, might need to press twice? Will then be in slow traffic mode, only goes up to 20mph which is indicated on speedo. When active if you come to a dead stop you need to touch throttle to get going again but auto other than that.I can't seem to find where the feature is located (or how to activate it).
Can you shed any light?
Have not watched this video but looks like the right thing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8UslrhtrKY

I was referring to the lack of awareness that the satnav system seems to have when encountering traffic/accidents etc on a pre-programmed route.
It's probably me doing something wrong, but the system seems to guide me into traffic problems that were known at the start of the journey.

Isnt that a common problem with many sat navs but especially with google mapsI was referring to the lack of awareness that the satnav system seems to have when encountering traffic/accidents etc on a pre-programmed route.

It chooses a route that's showing no issues and a better than normal time
What it doesnt know is that the road is closed and which is why its not seeing any slow traffic on it.
It's decision is reinforced by all the nearby alternative routes showing more congestion than normal.
It's not until you get there you find out
If it was clever enough it would have rerouted at least 20 miles away

Must say I prefer the Gti's digital setup, VW screens and carplay just work very well, wife was moaning about the Sensus after her first drive, spotify etc. would not work (data prob) and then the mental satnav Sunday did not go down well.
I do like the V90 but must say VW do a damn thorough job of engineering their motors.
Having spent two years in an Alltrack with absolutely woeful satnav I am not sure if you are serious I do like the V90 but must say VW do a damn thorough job of engineering their motors.
VAG infotainment is garbage compared to the Volvo.

You do need to turn the RTI info on in Nav settings as off by default (on mine), not sure how well it works as downtown Gothenburg is all I can see!

Reset sensus last night, paired phone etc. Satnav tells me I’m in Sweden now! Sounds like this is a fairly common problem, some people have fixed by disconnecting battery others had to get new receiver in sharks fin. Let’s see how the commute goes today.
Data did not auto connect this morning and still showing me as in Gothenburg. Booked in for checks next weds at Swindon Volvo. Having read into it sounds like software and/or hardware could be the problem.hoganscrogan said:

At least mine knows where it is (if not much else).
Sat Nav just started working again after a week of nonsense!
Also I worked out the auto data connect problem with my iPhone. If i plug iPhone into the USB port it disables bluetooth data to Volvo and you have to manually reconnect! It does take 30 secs or so to get data up and running when starting up but working every time now.
The above is a big problem if you use Carplay (which must have USB connection) and want to use the Sensus apps as well.
I don't have carplay and now having second thoughts about getting it from dealer.

Well theres been a slight delay in getting my V90 fixed, and it’s forecast to be back with me on Friday. In the mean time I’ve been loaned the T8 S90
This is such a smooth power train. The electric motors have pretty much instant throttle response, and then the petrol engine kicks in if you demand enough performance. I averaged 42mpg yesterday over 180 miles down the M6/M1. Getting used to the copilot now, but it still hugs the left hand side a little too much for my liking. 360 camera is a really good option, especially on the S90 with its boot sticking out the back. And the blind spot indications in the mirrors are nice.
Because the repairs on mine have taken longer than expected the S90 had to go back today, and it’s been replace with this
Options on this one are the full pano roof which really lights up the inside. Didn’t notice much difference with the 20 inchers, but will be able to tell better when I get back into mine at the weekend. This is a D5, so back to a little more noise than the petrol and that hesitation when pulling away. The T8 was lovely but I’d struggle to justify the price difference

And at last my car is back, delivered carefully this time
I can’t really fault Ray Chapman Motors. They’ve had me in equivalent cars while the damage has been fixed, and delivery has been to work or my home despite the distance between them.
And they’re now using a different delivery company thankfully

Apologies if this has been covered, however took delivery of my V90 R Design and noticed the front parking sensors.i haven’t paid for these but haven’t tested them. Are they just dummies or have I got lucky?
The sensors are present on my R Design (2018 model) but aren't plumbed in. Try it to be sure but don't blame me if you crash into a wall.hobnobbler said:

Sadly they are not there! Surely this should be easy to retrofit? Neil at Clive Brook told me 1k! Love the interior of the car, massive step up from the Golf R! D4 doesn’t feel bad at all to me; torque seems good, so I’m very impressed.Gassing Station | Volvo & Polestar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
