Has anyone managed to get a better deal on the S90 from a Volvo fleet dealership at all?

And what are the lead times that everyone is getting if you put in an order now??

I’ve just been looking at the Jet leasing deals, it’s seems as if they don’t include metallic paint or privacy glass, or am I mistaken??

Do Santander include the above??

Also, has anyone yet bought an S90 inscription with the standard 18inch wheels? The upgrade on the wheels seems to cost quite a lot! Does the inscription still look ok without bigger wheels? I can’t seem to find any photos of it with the standard 18s, seems like most people upgrade to the 19s or 20s. But is it cost effective to do that on a 2 year lease?

No. You'll pay the full cost of the upgrade in two years.

Have a look on auto trader, you'll see the cars in various colours, trims and wheel sizes.

If your budget is up to 600 a month, I would seriously consider buying something like this outright

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2018...

It would cost you about 700 a month to lease (not cost effective at all) but 40k to buy outright. S90 T8, 2018 reg, and about 1/3 off the new price. About 60k to buy but selling almost new for just over 40k. 400bhp electric hybrid, AWD, so similar to Audi S6 performance, but cheaper to buy and much cheaper to run. Does about 30 miles on the battery so depending on your daily commute, you may save quite a bit annually on on fuel costs.

Generally, when leasing, top trims and adding additional options starts to make leasing not very attractive from a value point of view. The inscription deal from jet is very good, but if you start adding stuff, your effectively paying full price but only getting 2 years enjoyment out of the options, which is maybe why buying outright may be more suitable/cost effective for you?

Thanks guys and yes, you are right. Not cost effective at all. Just shame about the wheels but hey, let’s forget about them, the standard 18s should do.

Now my only problem is the metallic paint and privacy glass. I thought these are usually free upgrades on lease deals but I guess not. I’m thinking about maybe going for the osmium grey with privacy glass. I know that it’s going to be the same argument of having to pay for them over the 2 year period but I just can’t bring myself to buy a non metallic VAN white colour 😩

Also, why does jet leasing have an option of the rear parking camera? Surely this is standard on the inscription model, is it not??

No, if you'd have looked at the Volvo website you'd have found the answer in less time than it took you to type your post here

Hi all

My S90 D5 has arrived and it looks as good as I’d expected.

The power is so smooth and it glides along effortlessly even with the 21s however the 35 tyres mean they are prone to kerbing which has happened to one of mine already when I took delivery but the dealer is going to sort.

On another note my rear parking camera is missing. Speaking to the lease company there seems to have been a bit of a mixup in the spec.

They are looking to see if one can be retrofitted but the dealer has said no it cannot be done (btw it must be genuine Volvo parts) however I’m sure somebody on here has had it done can anyone help? Or let me know of a dealer that can do it?

Thanks

I had the rear camera retrofitted on my S90 a couple of weeks ago.

It can most certainly be done.

Excellent I which dealer did you use, so I can tell them to speak to each other.

Thanks

Your dealer is either being lazy or dragging their feet in the hope that you'll go away.

It's actually in Volvo's own S90 accessory brochure:

https://accessories.volvocars.com/en-gb/S90(17-)/A...

Mine was fitted by the supplying dealer, Ray Chapman Volvo York.

Thank you have passed the details on, so fingers crossed.

As to pics will get some at the weekend.

As already discussed, the camera is a grand to fit! I'm assuming Jet will have to stump that up if they have made the mistake but it's probably Volvo UK who have cocked up on the spec.

I'm gonna get some pictures of my Irish spec S90 up over the weekend, I'm so super-pleased with it! The ONLY thing I can vaguely criticise is the passenger wing mirror doesn't autodip when going in reverse, my 2002 Audi does that and just about every other car in this class for the last 25 years!

So my wingmirrors autoDIM like the rear view mirror does but doesn't autoDIP like my 18 year old Audi does! Odd.

I'm sure I spotted a setting in Sensus for the mirrors; have you checked the My Car settings thoroughly?

Yes, the only option it gives me is to have them fold when the car is locked, nothing else. Must have been an option on my (Northern Irish) MY 18 spec car.

It's not on my UK spec R-Design either.

ISTR that it was on the Inscription trim only.

Just checked the handbook - it comes with memory seats.

It is on our Inscription V90 (has the option to dip one or both mirrors).
