I didn’t pay for any options. Went for pine grey (metallic paint). Metallic paints were free of charge.

Really happy with choice of colour. I was deciding between pine grey and saville grey.
Good to know, thanks!

Based on 1+17 month with 8k pa mileage (12k in over the term) the prices for a V90 through Santander are:

T4 Momentum £337.00
T4 R Design £376.97
D4 Momentum £441.80

Quite a lot more than the cheap deals available earlier this year but still very competitive for a car of this size/class. I’m likely to put in an order for the T4 Momentum.

Apologies, this is for the V90!

I need an estate so S90 is not an option.

How's the mpg averaging out Witchfinder?

Can't wait to get mine now. Never though I'd say that about a Volvo!

Current average reads 31mpg. I think it'll continue to improve as the engine loosens up, and I rack up more miles. Stop start traffic through Stockport on the M60 isn't helping, but I am making a conscious effort to drive economically.

I keep an eye on the "driver performance" app, which lets you see your MPG over each unit of one mile, ten miles, or 100 miles. I had a ten mile block on the way home today where I averaged over 50mpg, cruising at between 50mph and 60mph. I still think it's going to even out in the mid-thirties.

Very pleased with the smoothness and performance of the T4 though. It was never going to set the road on fire, but it's ample for the car that is mostly a relaxed cruiser..

Hi guys,

Picked up my V90 estate T4 Momentum over weekend. Initial impressions - car is really refinesd, seats are comfortable and lovely interior.

Regarding engine, I feel performance is good, more than enough power to get by. I have a S5 (this is my wife’s car) and thought I would really feel the difference - while no where near as quick (as expected!), this feels more powerful than previous 2L diesels that I have owned (eg E220d).

Only done 60 miles so far and fuel economy is at 20mpg (all town driving). I’m hoping that improves as the engine settles.

Another thing I meant to ask was how the adaptive high beam was?

From what I've read it's a lot more advanced than I initially thought (just dipping or fully raising) and will essentially block out the car in front but stay high elsewhere keeping vision at its max?

I've been playing with mine now I know it's cleverer than I first thought. If you're a considerate driver who looks for oncoming beams around corners and dips your lights before you see the oncoming vehicle, you have to force yourself to leave it to its own devices. But it works; it seems to have a few different strategies:
- just put you onto dipped beam
- dip one light only
- the selective box-out function; it doesn't seem to start like this but brings the lights in from the sides in steps until they fill the dark areas. I've had the chance to watch it following a car on a slightly bendy road and it seems to be pretty successful.

It doesn't seem to spot oncoming lights straight away if they're a fair way off - but to be fair, you're probably not actually blinding anyone if they're half a mile away. And it doesn't spot cars waiting to come out of side roads at all - unsurprising when their lights aren't actually pointing your way.

Paste from main lease thread:

Just FTK (or whatever we are calling it this week) on a factory order S90 T4 R-Design in Osmium Grey metallic for May delivery.

£289 on a 1+23 10k plus coughing up £300 separately for the Android Auto option.

No fees, direct from Bells Northampton & all handled very efficiently. Nice not having a broker in the way tbh.

Apparently ends today - was a deal that expired end of October and got pulled from their website. But if you don't ask and all that.....

My current lease expires at the start of Jan so ideally wanted something for then. But, having already cancelled an Arteon because of every extending lead times, I've struggled to find anything good on a short lead time.

And turns out my current lease can be informally extended for basically the same monthly rate, pro rata by the day. So I'll just keep it until the Volvo turns up. Result all round I think.

Does anyone can give information how is blond interior looking after couple weeks/months of using? I am worried that I made mistake by choosing it and it will get dirty very easy.

Agreed with all that, works really well.

I’ve got the same car on order due Feb/March but I fear the delivery will end up being pushed back.

In others experience, once the agreement is signed and the fee has been paid to the broker do you typically hear anything between then and the weeks leading up to the car being delivered? I only ask because I’ve heard nothing from the finance provider and I’m slightly worried now the broker has my fee they’re not in any rush to keep me updated.

As you may have guessed this is my first experience of leasing.

Sounds impressive.

Something else I've just thought of that I've never had to deal with before, what various means are there for playing music in the car? A CD is about as advanced as I've ever gotten given the age of cars I've owned. I don't have music on my phone, doubt the battery would be up to it anyway.

Can you just stick use a USB stick with music on it or is that too simple?

Struggling to find information regarding the volvo on call, I believe this is standard to the S90? Remote start etc. possible?

AM/FM/DAB, USB, Bluetooth, Spotify app built in, CD player (optional equipment). Don't think there's an SD card port though.

For USB, it should just catalogue all the media on the stick. I believe it'll even play back video files.

Sounds as easy as I was hoping for then.

How about remote starting the car, possible?

Yeah, you need to pair the On Call app with your car. Register for a Volvo ID, log into the On Call app, and sit in the car and pair it. They did this with me at the dealership. They forgot to set it up in the car though. You need to go into the Volvo app on the Sensus system and sent an activation email to your Volvo ID email address.

You can download the On Call app in advance and play with the demo mode. It's really good, it lets you remote start and stop the car, lock and unlock, get things delivered to the car, flash the lights, sound the horn, locate the car and send navigation destinations, log your journeys and categorise them as personal or business mileage, see the ambient temperature where the car is, check the fuel range, call for roadside assistance, check for fault codes and other status messages.

Think that's everything.

Sounds ace!

I leave the house at about 5.30am so in the winter this could be handy, hopefully it can put the heated seats and steering wheel on too. biggrin

Not sure about that, I've not put to the test. The app has "parking climate" options in it, but it seems like heating only applies to cars with the optional auxiliary heater (no idea if it will run the air conditioning in summer).

From what I've read, I think you have to remote start the car and run it to warm things up on a frosty morning, although it doesn't run the heaters at full. Need to experiment with it.
