I don't think you can, but the red marker on the dial does show the current speed limit. It'd be nice if you could see which gear is selected while you are in "drive" but that doesn't seem to be an option either.

Can sort by average monthly cost. This one comes out at about £385/month.

Decided to try and see how good an mpg I could get out of this T4 on an A road, 20 mile journey today. Chart is in 10 mile blocks and got 60-65mpg average in eco mode, no heated seats on.
The previous bars show what I normally get, driving around town and my default is the individual mode, which is mostly dynamic settings. (The centre line is my long term 30mpg average)

Wasn't much fun though, hitting accelerator with a feather touch. Using coasting function in eco mode no doubt bumps up mpg quite a bit.

That coasting function doesn't half make a difference. What speed were you doing to get that though?

Would I be right in assuming that's mostly taken after resetting the trip while already cruising?

I wouldn’t have thought you could reset the 10mile blocks...

I don't use the trip settings, so the trip data I have is since April - what you see in the graph is my most recent MPG's in 10 mile blocks, so the graph only shows the last 100 miles.

My journey was from Belfast City, through rush hour traffic, climbing up Divis Mountain on B roads (not that high, about 1500 feet) and down the other side (that was the 1st 10 miles) and then got slightly better for the last 10 miles, which was just a flat A road home with just 2 roundabouts to disrupt the flow, so a relatively nice clean, flat run.

I climbed the mountain at about 40mph, and coasted most of the way back down - although had to break for corners and I kept on catching up on the traffic in front while I was coasting - they were likely coasting too but in gear. For the 2nd part of the journey, the flat part, there was traffic in front on my which I was trying to avoid so about 45MPH for a short space of time and then slowly increased up to 50MPH for the rest of the way home.

I'll try again another day, but taking the motorway instead and see how that fairs. I can get 50 MPG on that motorway without really trying and that's not using ECO so it will be interesting to see what I can get in ECO mode with a feather foot and no mountain to contend with.

Genuinely surprised to see north of 60 MPG on A and B roads though, didn't think that would be possible in such a heavy petrol car. With that said, you have to put a bit of effort in to try and get that, looking as far ahead as possible and trying to avoid using the brakes at all costs - its not really normal driving and I can't see me driving like that too often - my previous MPG's show how I normally drive the car smile

Hi All,

I have an S90 R Design T4 scheduled for registration/handover from a main dealer on or around the 23rd April. I called the garage recently to check all was well and that no delays had been reported - all seems fine so far.

I believe that the S90 is made in and then shipped from China, so it got me thinking about potential delay with Brexit and all the fuss over queues at ports etc.

Is anyone aware of how long the car is in the country before it is ready to be handed over? Anyone have any knowledge of this area that could potentially shed some light for me? Obviously the whole potential ports "chaos" is an unknown at the moment and might not be an issue if relevant orders/certification is in place to drop a shipment off.

For those leasing or considering the V90 CC T5... any useful or recommended options?

I've been quoted £17.18/month for the rear camera which would be useful in a barge like this, £35.44/month for the HK system and £12.89/month for the smartphone integration. I'd only use the latter for Spotify and I assume the built-in Spotify app is good enough, so happy to give that one a miss. I'm guessing the 19" wheels will be around £33/month (assuming a similar % of full option price)... the standard 18s look a little rubbish.

I know adding options is a good way to start ruining a pretty good deal, but I have to drive/look at this beast for 18 months so want it to be pleasurable. I'm paying around £400/month for my S5 and would be happy to pay the same for this if necessary, particularly as there's no up-front payment. And at the risk of getting man-maths-y, even with £2k of options it's going to be around the 20% mark (based on 2yrs/10k miles and conveniently ignoring any available RRP discounts biggrin)

Ride on the 18's is good and I wouldn't want to compromise that.

It doesn’t come with tinted windows but they wanted £17.18 a month, think I’ll get them tinted by a 3rd party will work out less.

The 19” wheels were £33.29 and I don’t really like the style. Think the silver 18” are growing on me, more rugged/off-road ish looking .

Do you need the camera? It has reverse sensors.

I had a D5 as a hire car and liked it even though it seemed to long for any normal parking space!

Anyone got the Amber interior on here? Would love to see a non press photo, people say it’s much more yellow than in the photos.

I've never had a problem parking without a camera, but I'm used to driving big cars. The V90 is the first car I've had with what I'd call "dubious" parking sensors. The rears in particular switch very quickly from "loads of room" to "st! STOP!"

18" wheels are fine, don't look undersized, and give the best ride. I suppose it's a matter of personal taste.

The built in Spotify app is okay, but not great. I just stream music from my phone over Bluetooth, and never bothered with Android Auto. You don't need it really.

I'm paying the full £300 for smartphone integration on my 24 month S90 order - I would always do that as my current Merc has Android Auto and I wouldn't be without it - I'm bought into Google Play Music ecosystem rather than Spotify and Google Maps beats any manufacturer Nav I've used.

Appreciate others won't be as bothered as me but even if you only want Spotify beware - others on here have voiced dissatisfaction with the Volvo Spotify app reliability.

Thanks for the thoughts/advice all smile

Think I'll stick with the standard 18s, which saves a few quid.

I'm not too bothered about Android Auto... I only use it for Spotify and if the app is flakey I'll just stream.

The 360 degree view is probably only around £30/month so I might go for that instead of the rear camera... surely more useful in a car this size?

Main decisions now are colour and... standard sound system or Harmon Kardon. I had an S60 maybe five years ago and the standard system in that was great, so I assume the standard one in the CC should be fine. I'm not a fan of massive bass, so I'm not sure I'd miss the sub-woofer... any opinions would be gratefully received smile
