I think the standard sound system is fantastic.

Listening to something like this at full volume makes you appreciate it (and feel it)-

Agree. One of the major surprises of this car is just how good the sound system is. No need to upgrade.

Thanks Patrick & Snake Oil smile I might have the chance to listen to a standard system on Friday...

It looks like you also need BLIS in order to select the 360 degree surround view, bumping the total cost somewhat!

I like my tunes and really wouldn't suggest paying extra for the HK

I agree the parking sensors are sluggish however I'm used to driving big cars and have never had a reverse cam so am perfectly happy without

Its a big old bus though for sure, trips fully laden are so much nicer than my old 3 series with a roof box smile

I've not heard the HK, but to second Numtumfutunch, the standard sound system is great.

Colour is very subjective. I posted a pic of mine in Savile Grey a few pages back. Given the choice again I'd probably pick Osmium instead. Savile seems to be rare, but it shows the grime pretty quickly.

This V90 CC T5 deal is excellent and I am waiting on the quote to come through, however, the Mrs (who will be the main user) is concerned about the size of this vehicle and parking it in "normal" parking spaces such as supermarkets etc. Reviews also comment that it is tricky to park. We have an XC60 (previous gen) that goes back in September which is 30 cms shorter than the V90 CC which she parks fine that just has parking sensors.

We are going to look at one on Saturday but this could be a deal breaker which is extremely frustrating given how good this deal is.

Any thoughts from those that already have one? Is a rear camera essential?

A rear camera is not essential on the V90 but I think it would be useful - just this morning I reversed into a space and the sensors went a bit odd as I got close to the armco at the back, and when I got out I found I was above the armco. A camera would have made that less of a close shave!

The rear parking sensors aren't bad in themselves, they just sit a bit high with the CC's raised ride height and the graphic on the screen doesn't come on until they start beeping, so it takes a while to gain confidence that they're working properly.

V90 is a bit of a tt to reverse park, as it's long, the sensors are a bit crap (nothing, nothing, nothing, "STOOOOOPPPP") and the waistline below the window juts out horizontally, meaning the view from the wingmirrors down to the floor is obscured and it's hard to see white lines/the kerb and judge if you're close/ parallel. It also feels very wide.

I've never had an issue parking it - but at the same time, you need to concentrate on what you are doing. While I've had no issues, I wouldn't say its 'easy' to park - its big - car park spaces are small - so you need to be careful. Camera will be useful, no doubt - but at the same time - the car remains 17ft long whether a camera is fitted or not smile

I wish I had the camera when all said and done, but I didn't want to pay for it, so I didn't get it added as an option in the end.

Hi

We already have a V90 and I must admit the size can be a problem. I don't have any issues driving it however when you park the car it does stick out. Our car is just 10 months and we already have a dent on the front bumper and trolley dents from supermarkets on one of the doors. Note that I look after my cars and do park miles away in supermarket carparks. Other people just do not have any respect for vehicles and there isn't much you can do about it (unless you do not go shopping with it) Reversing camera is not required in my opinion./

Did another mpg test in the V90 T4 this evening, 30 ish mile round trip on a normal type road, several complete stops, some roundabouts etc. Average speed of 37mph so not motorway speed, but better than around town too. Got 45 mpg which for a bit of a mixed cycle type drive, was pretty good i thought. Eco mode of course.
Hit the trip reset button and off I went and here's the graph...fairly consistent all the way there and back.

Is that taken from the car starting from cold and everything? How many miles has your car done?

Is anyone able to tell me how to turn traffic updates off? I’ve started driving the car more in the morning rush hour and the number of updates is relentless! I’ve tried to google it and seemingly pressed every button on the touch screen but can’t Figure it out!

I had been out in it prior to the trip, so it wasn't a cold engine if that's what you mean. But yes, was a start to finish drive from my house.

Hello,

Just about to go for the V90 CC T5 in metallic grey colour, no options but I have to return current lease in September 2019.

However Santander said 6 months is longest, but the quote I have is valid for 28 days so it looks like 7 months it is.

Need to find out early repayment is

After waiting for the right deal on a V90 since November, I jumped on the Cross County deal from Santander for £272 on a 0+18 with £8k (excess 7.5p). I’ve gone for standard spec with free Magic Blue paint and Amber interior. I was wondering if anybody had any photos of the amber interior or a CC in magic blue? Ta

And I’ve search cars for sale with amber interior without much success frown

Would be great to see some real photos!
