If he's emailing you a quote you'll get it, right? Just use the CHL link for Stoneacre to contact them.

It was just to send him the screenshot so he gets the quote right first time. Haha.

No worries I'll just speak to him in the morning!

Thanks

I got one on order from Mad Sheep I ordered on 15/01/18

10k
9+17
227.18 p/m
£360 admin

Gutted with my admin but the I smashed the satsuma 😂. I couldn’t miss out.

I called local Volvo dealer service per annum or 12k so only one service £120. Probably two front tyres. £250 ish. Second service is £360 not worth it on a 2 year deal.

Is that for a 18 month lease?

Ordered this morning a V90 D4 R Design in Osmium Grey. Due end of March. Glad I got something sorted after the whole A6 saga!

I'd be cautious about delivery dates quoted!

I ordered an S90 D4 R Design in October from a local main dealer with a promised delivery date of 15 March 2018.

By early December I was advised that this would now be June!

Luckily the dealer was able to locate a car of the same spec that would be arriving sooner and so that has been allocated to my order. This was found on the Volvo system.

I very much doubt that other dealers will be able to supply in March on that basis!

As to the size, I am presently in. Mercedes C Class estate which isn't the biggest of cars. Whilst the S90 feels huge it is exactly the same width as the Merc, although a good bit longer.

Some good deals about now but my deal was for 12k on a 3 + 35 basis which suited me. No admin charge. Also lucked in as the replacement car is a slightly better spec than my order and I am not having to pay the extra.

Looking forward to getting behind the wheel.

From my test drives the car was certainly a relaxing and comfortable place to be although maybe not the most exciting car to drive. Again, horses for courses!

I would say without doubt that price is incorrect. My local Volvo dealer is £240 for the 1st service and others are similar. Not sure how they can say £120!

Regarding servicing. I have spoken with 2 dealers today who both gave me different prices (both extortionate in my opinion).

VOLVO V90 D4
Nottingham volvo quoted the following;
1st service - 12 months OR 18k miles (whichever comes first) = £275
2nd service - 2 years / 36k miles = £410 - at which point I spat my coffee out - was not expecting that!

Leicester Volvo quoted;
1st service -12 months OR 18k miles (whichever comes first) = £334 - The lady was sure that the first quote from Notts I had was wrong as according to her the v90 requires 'larger air filters and more oil'
2nd service - 2 years / 36k miles = £430.90!!

Now I know that dealers are very expensive, but these prices seem to be taking the absolute mick.

I was very close to going for the D4 R Design on a 24 month lease and was happy to pay for the extra miles I would need to cover, however after hearing these quotes I have decided to hold back and rethink things.

I understand that in some instances it has been mentioned that some lease contracts allow you to use a certified service station to carry out the work, but I have no idea if this is the case for this particular deal - if anyone can shed some light on if this is possible and what kind of prices I would be looking to pay then this might be something I can consider.

Stoneacre Chesterfield quoted me approx £45 per month extra to take out maintenance which again I feel takes the total cost above and beyond what I feel is a decent deal.

Can I ask what your plans are in regards to servicing the V90 fellow PH's, particularly those who are on the 24 month deal?

I'm sure the quote I had was £460 for the second service. To be honest, I struggled after hearing the 4 in it though so may be misremembering the 10's. I plan to return the car in month 23, however I do note that the fine for not servicing the car at all is £300....

I guess the other option is go for the 18 month contract and in turn only having to pay for the first service.

I've ordered on a 24 month deal so I'll get the first service done (quoted £240) and then I will hand the car back a week early to avoid the rather extortionate second service!

I was thinking this but I was under the impression that you would be charged a fee for not servicing the car so close to the interval - even if handing back 1 week early?
I have never leased before so haven't got anything to go on other than the advice and other peoples experiences on this forum.
If this works then it would be the best option to take.

I'm hoping it will be the same, but with my current lease VWFS told me that even if I handed the car back and it stated "1 day to inspection", then I am not obliged to have the vehicle serviced. It's only if I hand it back and it says "inspection due", that I would then be charged for the service/penalty.

I'm interested in why you should say this. Volvo Cardiff had a list of cars coming over to the UK in various specs which they showed me on their system. They were unallocated. All they had to do was click on one to reserve it.

Based on my experience of trying to get mine delivered.

Ordered early Sept with delivery promised on 12/12.

Subsequently delayed until May this year.

Then changed again to late Feb (to dealer) with delivery to me in March.

Now? Who knows?

Also, local dealer told me last week that any orders taken now would be on the basis of a 5 month wait.

I hope I'm wrong, and everyone's cars arrive on time, but take what you're being told with a pinch of salt.

If it does get delayed then I won't be too bothered. I'll just be glad to get hold of it to be honest as it was a cracking deal for a lovely motor.

The dealer where I ordered told me they have approx. 30 cars due in to them for the end of March. I have ordered a standard R Design with no options other than Metallic so hopefully I will get it around that time but as I said, if it slips a month or so, it's not the end of the world.

Yeah. Same here. I've got an Alltrack due back in June. Any delay is fine by me, and I've told the dealer too. But they assure me end of March it is.

As I said, I had plenty of assurances too.

As an aside, anyone considering actually buying one of these needs their head examining.

The loan car they have given me listed at nearly £46K when it was registered 8 months ago.

It has now done 5k miles and is for sale at £30K (prior to any negotiation).

Just signed up for a V90 r design in bursting blue , thought it was a great deal considering it’s for 25,000 miles annually, think it works out at about £369 inc vat on a 6+17 deal.

Will try and get apple car play thing dealer fitted after delivery.
