This is a link to a full set of guidelines which is incensed through Alphabet but should be exactly the same standards a vehicle should be appraised to.
Thanks - what does this mean? - "replacement tyres should be in the same class as those which are sold on the new vehicle"

Comparable brands. If you've got Pirellis on then I replacement would be something like a Michelin or Bridgestone and not some cheap remould?

To be honest one of my pet peeves is cars with different brands of tyres. Just replace like for like and have all four corners the same.

OK thanks - and I agree with you, just frustrating as only got 4 weeks left on the lease...!

That's motoring I guess. At least the lease deal was cheap though.

Agreed - proper cheap for that car. Hopefully see something similar again soon, but I doubt it.

Does anyone know which wear and tear guide Santander use while I wait for them to send it through?

Thanks, they replied now with the same answer you've given, which is BVRLA. All good.

The first service for my V90 is due on 20th June. Has anyone with a Santander lease had their car serviced up to a month late? I can see Volvo allow this under warranty however it’s not clear if this would incur a fine from Santander.

Can you try and get part worn tyres in a comparable brand? Guess it might not be easy to find...

I actually had a part worn of the same brand fitted yesterday and you are right, it was not easy to find.

Manheim supposedly sending assessor to asses my V90 R-Design after extended 3 year lease. Mileage 19k vs agreed mileage of 24k. Immaculate, imo, apart from one curbed alloy. They have been supposed to contact me to arrange today for tomorrow's assessment. I have taken the day off work. So,I am assuming they are not coming. I am completing on my house sale very soon. My usual response to this kind of poor customer service is to call/email the head of the company and put the boot in. Will keep you informed !

Interesting.
A couple of weeks ago I got my collection letter from Volvo:
“We have provided the following details to one of our Logistics Partners to book your vehicle in for an inspection and arrange collection. Manheim or BCA Logistics will contact you direct, in the next 3 working days, to arrange a suitable date.”
Not heard a whisper despite emailing 3 times.
Yes, I’ve tried calling…the recorded message says “we’re really busy, please email”.

FFS.

FWIW, I called Manheim on 0333 444 0236 at 8am, gave them a bo**ocking for lack of contact but they confirmed their assessor is coming today. Then got a call saying between noon and 1pm. One alloy needs refurbishing plus there are a couple of very light scratches on the bodywork but otherwise it looks perfect to me. It's done 19k miles vs agreed 24k so I am not expecting to pay anything.

So, nice fellow from Manheim called Carmen arrived. Spent 20 mins with the car. I had previously videoed it closely which I told him. I pointed out the obvious scratched alloy. He said that was the only issue for which Volvo would charge £60. He immediately emailed report to me which was as described. I called Volvo FS, said I was contesting the £60 due to the car being 5k miles under allowance.
Car driven straight off to Bicester auctions.
Great car for long distances and incredibly cheap motoring over 3 years:
V90 D4 R Design in Black.
£2,000 upfront; £200 per month over 36 months.
Won't see that again in a hurry !!

Makes you wonder, given current lease 'deals' , if it's worth buying your car back from the auction. At least you know it's condition, where it's been etc.

I had the front tyres replaced at a Volvo main dealer last week, yesterday I noticed this on the wheel:

I haven't curbed it, so I'm thinking they had trouble getting the old tyre off and casued the damage, maybe dropped it?

Would this damage come up as a problem once it goes back if the dealer tries to wriggle fixing it?

That doesn’t look like rotational damage so might be worth a visit and a conversation with them.

Why does this happen exactly 1 week before collection! Fortunately an easy repair.

Like many, I’m giving up on leasing for now. The S90 has been great but I’m looking forward to having some 6cyl power…

My V90 R-Design Plus is due back in September leased from Santander123. Rang up today to enquire about extensions, got refused anything other than a 28 day, billed daily! Was surprised (and disappointed - would have been quite happy in it for another 12mths). Anyone else experienced the same? I assumed its not just a case of call centre roulette.

EDIT: Just looking back through the thread looks like I'm not the only one..
