I think it must be that Denim Blue/Blond T6 CC that I’ve signed for this week! Hopefully delaying delivery for 2-3 weeks to dovetail with my Alltrack’s return.

With a cocker spaniel I’m going to have to get some decent seat covers and a boot liner. And watch the jeans like you say. If you’re averaging 23 mpg, it sounds like you’re really enjoying yourself too?

Any early tips to offer please?
That's a hell of a nice car, be sure to post some pics when you get it!
Thank you, will do! I’m sure you’re enjoying yours? Any pics please? Not enough pictures in here lol.

2018 spec V90 T4 R-Design. Should this come with hands free boot opening?
Unfortunately its an optional extra on the Irish website frown NationwideVehicle leasing site have Irish vehicle spec vehicles - I would like to think its something that would be cheap to add from my local Volvo dealership..

I'm hoping Volvo-On-Call will work...

Just made the first long journey in our new v90, leased thanks to this thread. Five hours driving and 300 odd miles and got out feeling like I'd just driven round the corner. Very impressed and such a pleasant environment to travel in.

I picked up a D5 R Design with winter pack in osmium, 272 pm, 6+23 8k. Have to say, for 4 pot diesel, I think it's great. Smooth, quiet, plenty of power, deals with back road overtakes and slip road etc duties very well.

It's a big heavy car so unsurprisingly not the last word in dynamics and definantly at it's best on the motorway, but it's more than good enough on smaller roads.

I heard some reviews talk about the lowering of the R Design could be a problem on speed bumps ? Do you notice that its particularly low (or too harsh a ride ?)

Any pictures ? smile

There are some pretty steep bumps round my way and no issues.

Here's the osmium grey

So after arranging delivery date and getting the reg number of the black one, I then got an email saying “Really sorry - I’ve just been informed that these are Irish spec vehicles and they don’t come with electric tailgate or gear shift paddles. Hope this is ok?”

Really f*cking bugged me but could probably make my peace with it, but thought I would try it on and push for discount etc. Got told that they were “only so cheap because they were Irish spec” - which bugged me even more so I decided to check how cheap they really were.

Found Stoneacre Lincoln offering black (UK spec) V90 R Design in stock for £199/month on 9+23 8k p/a with no fees. £15/month more for Winter Pack - exactly same price as Nationwide for the S90.

So have now cancelled the S90 (may be available if anyone’s looking) and got a V90 on order!
Where was yours on order from? Concerned mine from Central Vehicle Leasing will be one of those...
Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.

I called CVL as their offers email came in the same day as the one from Nationwide and was guaranteed they were UK spec. For the second time though, despite several reminder emails and calls (from Spain), they never actually bothered to send me a quote. Happily I found one cheaper elsewhere though! 2 years ago the same thing happened with the A4 - rang them over and over and over asking for a quote and never got one. Then looked elsewhere and found cheaper.

What a nightmare!

Nationwide haven't contacted me.and I doubt they will - presumably this would have been shown on the specs on the website at the time - although I saw no reason at the time to do a comparison between the Volvo configurator online and the Nationwide website specifications.

So - if you look at the Irish website https://www.volvocars.com/ie/build/sedan/s90/r-des... the electric tailgate is a €625 extra and Front park assist €460 (neither standard on the current model in Ireland)

There should have been a note on the description at the point of order that these are Irish spec vehicles - I am disappointed.

I see that your vehicle is back on line with Nationwide - although £100 a month more expensive against the figures I'm paying for the same vehicle in Bright Silver (20K a year,1 + 23, £402 a month) !

Mine is due for delivery Tuesday - not sure what to do.
It wasn't really a 'nightmare'. Like I say, I was probably happy enough to accept it if they had offered some sort of token gesture - it was just the straight up "No you should think you're lucky to have it" attitude of the email that got my back up. I still would have accepted it, but it annoyed me enough to check and CVL had decent offers on the V90 - which prompted me to check CHL and Stoneacre were even cheaper.

I'd give them a call and see if they'd swap you for the black one!

Not got many miles to base a firm opinion on, but if I hit a larger speed bump or one with steep transitions a bit keenly then something can scrape underneath a touch sometimes. The ride is comfortable but firmish, as it's a heavy car I'd say things are kept under reasonable control. It's not as well sorted as our outgoing A4 1.4tfsi and things can get a bit crashy and wallowy if you push on too much, but that's not what the v90 is about really, or what I was expecting so no complaints.

It really is serene on smooth fast A and Motorway roads.

Good to know - thanks for the info.

They are a good price; £328/month amortised including the £270 fee. When I got a quote on a D5 R-Design last week the best I could find worked out about £385, so I went for the T6 Cross Country instead. Which is being delivered on 11 June, so too late now for me to swap.

Signed up for a Bursting Blue V90 with winter pack with Mill Volvo, so will be joining the V90 club next month!

Chuffed to bits, hand my eye on one for a while and think the blue looks great.

BTW, had a quote from Neva direct for the D5 mentioned above.

Still available, 3 in stock, inc. metallic paint and front sensors if anyone is interested. Very good price and was tempted to go for this instead, but the bursting blue convinced me to stick with the Mill Volvo deal.

Wllchn if you signed up today then that may well be the one I was going to go for, changed my mind on the colour after sleeping on it. Don't get me wrong, it’s a fantastic shade that really uplifts the styling, just not for a boring hat like myself - who likes to hide under the radar smile

I was a little unfortunate with Mills, ended up speaking to one of their four sales staff who was pretty useless for better words, didn’t process my application despite with him by 10.30am, ignored emails, started changing colours without my consent as the supply pool dried up, then left at 5pm passing the buck to someone else with my application unprocessed!

In the end, started dealing with a girl who was rather helpful, secured finance in mins, tried to secure me the blue as I wanted the winter pack but it was always going to be my second choice. Always afraid of black cars due to maintaining them, so didn’t really have much choice left at this late stage.

By morning, saw the Neva deal and took it, despite a little more £, the extra power, AWD and got it in the colour choice I wanted all along, oh plus the front sensors.

Have to say, soupdragon marketed his v90 real well by teasing us all on the main thread with his brill review and those sexy v90 pics, finishing off the good work by sharing that advert even though I couldn’t cash in on the deal. Thanks mate.

I’m really excited and happy to bid my ‘half price’ Alltrack farewell for pastures new! smile

Funnily enough I signed up on Tuesday, and was told the exact same story as another gent who signed up for a Bursting Blue V90 from Mill's. I'm guessing they managed to find some additional stock, rather than just the 10 cars they advertised.

But yes, big thanks to Soupdragon for the initial post. Your D5 should be great, seen good reviews about that engine, sure you'll really enjoy it, did you go for one the grey colours in the end?

You will really see my ignorance here but is the Geartronic like the DSG , auto with the option to put it in paddle ‘manual’ mode?

Just been reading reviews on the D5, apparently they’re 15mm lower , assuming the D4 isn’t?

Ain’t leasing a funny game, you secure the deal first and read reviews later! Heck I’ve never even seen one in flesh yet.
