The Volvo V60 Lease Thread
Discussion
Got a V60 T5 thru Santander last Nov. It's fine. The big display screen is a bit tricky to use when driving, so I'm getting better at the voice control. Sat Nav could be better, only gives one route option. MPG figures a bit low tho we do a lot of short journeys... on the longer ones it is now getting above 40mpg, overall average is just over 30. It's a comfortable easy drive for a long trip, I've done 4 hours non-stop up the M40 and on, and feel fine after that. Nippy when it needs to be. Rear sensors come on late.

What sort of prices were they quoting?MattDell said:
Yeah, it does feel that way. Adding one £1,500 option on a base level Momentum XC60 takes it from £323 to £472.
Sorry, but I dont know why this should surprise youJust about every option on lease or PCP deals is total cost of the shiny trinkets divided by term of contract with a factor for the deposit
Sure there are a few exceptions eg fancy Nav on my last BMW was subsidised and Santander give free metallics both of which make the car more appealing second hand but its fairly brutal when you realise what specc'ing a scrotal massage function will actually cost you in the cold, hard and objective light of day.
Cheers

Anyone had letters through to complete a service?
Mine's done 10,000 miles.
Not had a letter yet, but the car tells me at every start!Mine's done 10,000 miles.
Anyone had any success finding/negotiating a better price for the service? My local dealer wants £310 for an oil change. I knew it was going to be this kind of money when I took out the lease, but now it's time to pay it, I'm baulking at such a ridiculous amount for so little. Franchised dealer servicing is stipulated in the contract (although the penalty for not using the dealer is something like £150 -potential to do it cheaper overall, but I'd rather not get into an argument later)

I managed to haggle down to, a still ridiculous, £290 with my local main dealer.Anyone had any success finding/negotiating a better price for the service? I've booked mine when we're up north on holiday -slightly cheaper up there!I put in my local dealer in SW London and got £350. I put in another local one and got £315. I put in the one in Sheffield and it came up with £295 (I go to Sheffield from time to time so it may fit in).
I went back to the local dealers and tried them again and they came up with £295. So their prices managed to change in the system to the Sheffield one. Just a bit odd that's all
Just had my yearly service at 3200 miles on V60 T5 momentum. £290 in Chesterfield. The car wash had broken, so no complimentary clean but it was vacuumed inside. The software update mortally wounded it so it took two days altogether as the master technicians had to contact the volvo master master technicians to mend it. Not sure what the update was,low speed gear change still a bit lurchy. One new think I did notice was a new icon on the display that indicates the auto stop/start is not functioning. With my mileage the auto stop / start is rarely functional as the battery is probably a bit undercharged all the time. Works after a long run though. Doing 32.8 mpg average.
I saw somewhere on here someone say that you couldn't extend the Santander leases. I emailed them and asked and was told you could extend up to 28 days at a daily rate that they didn't specify. Handy to know when the time comes in 6 months time and trying to avoid too much of an overlap or gap with a new lease.
The contact email for the lease told me to email this one in order to find out:
