Rumours are

42131 CAT D11T - a big caterpillar bulldozer - expected october

42129 - 4x4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros Tri - a sort of bigger unimog all terrain truck - expected in August

If you google either you’ll get speculation on the sets, not sure there are any leaked images yet…….

The costs and brick counts indicate these will have some of the fancy remote controls. I am it sure I like this trend.

In a moment of lockdown boredom last Saturday and having had a nice long chat to my little boy in Oz (we used to LOVE making lego when he was little before his mum moved him there) I was perusing Amazon...Ooops.

Bit of background.

This was the first ever Technics set I had (c. 1988) I was more of a Lego Space fan

I then went and bought these.....

My god they have got substantially more technical.

Anyway, they're both built (one evening each save for the Mixer truck where I fouled up (at stage 50....discovered cock up at stage 239 and had to pretty much completely disassemble)

And I may have just ordered this...

Quite fancy the Mack anthem truck next or the Liebherr excavator. Hmmmmm Decisions decisions.

What do you think of the Cement Mixer? I was thinking of that one.

It's bloody brilliant! WAY more technical than it looks.

Working opposing rear differentials, moving engine parts in the build (that was where I fked up), 4 wheel steering, switch mech for barrel rotation, working barelling to get the 'cement' out or rotating when driving or neutral. Oh it's good. As you think you're getting to the end it chucks in a few swerve balls too.

Highly recommended.

As with all Technic, follow the instructions to the letter!

Me and the Mrs were watching Gold Rush last night and one of the crews was struggling with a 'little' D10 dozer and then the boss showed up with a D11. Even the Mrs said the D11 was an impressive machine. I check this tread this morning, and a D11 is on its way.it must be fate!

Really good set in my opinion. Price is reasonable too for Lego. Keep an eye on Amazon as sometimes they reduce the price.

The cement mixer is a good set. I did bugger up the gears and didnt realise ubtil almost the end. Had to strip most of it back to get at the bit that was wrong.

Now building the volvo 6x6 quarry truck. Its even bigger than the cement truck.

There is a rumoured Space Shuttle in April too. It's probably a CREATOR set but I'd prefer a re-release of the Technic one from 1996 smile

I had one. It had a motorised fibreoptic distributer so the engine bells flickered and glowed.
