Looks like they've finished building the lego Discovery Centre and shop near me, and now it's just a case of waiting until they're allowed to open. Anyone know if they tend to go for big launch events with lots of discounts?
Shop looks pretty well stocked from a peer through the window.
Are you aware there’s a Lego shop in delft with a pretty decent selection? Also our local toy shop tends to have very competitive prices. Shop looks pretty well stocked from a peer through the window.

Toy shop here tends to have to pretty good prices too, just wondering if it's worth keeping an eye out for the grand opening in Scheveningen.Every day a journey said:
THAT looks bloody brilliant!
Where are the plans for that??
It's by the guy that designed the original. He's since refined it to a v2 design.Where are the plans for that??

Toy shops are still a thing? The toy/model shop in my local towns closed years ago.
There used to be a decent one in Truro, but I think it closed a couple of years ago.
A quick google shows that there's a "The Entertainer" in Truro now. No idea what they sell though.
There used to be two really good model shops in Plymouth, one of which specialised in diecast. Both gone I think.

Edinburgh has a brilliant model toy shop called Wonderland. You can buy everything from Lego through to minature steam engines that work.

The Entertainer is ok for kids toys
Hobbycraft usually have a good airfix type model section and good paint stocks

God, even your Lego posts are annoying. Expecting everyone to know model numbers off by heart, to have a hope of understanding what you're talking about.
Glad it wasn't just me thinking that..!
Not to mention that - having actually just checked those set numbers - neither of them are Technics!

We’re all nerds to be fair - some more than others. I’ll wager someone might have known
Just finished another stop motion build.
This time the Stunt Truck and Bike.
Quite a nice build for the money.
Also built the Hedwig for a friend. Now that was a fiddly build!
The movement on the wings is very clever though. Also, due to the pieces being quite soft fit, if dropped it would probably self deconstruct quite easily for packing away.

Well I was going to dismantle this and box it up...
But when I had it all neatly separated I thought, sod it, I'll build the B version...
Rather funky. Power winch, forward/back/steering and powered lifting cab and rear
then with some of the bits left over, added to it.
New grille protector and lights...
Neat little roof top storage box...
Which contains, as it's a research vehicle, a foldaway satellite receiver/transmitter...
